Now that my friend Stephen Bennett has responded publicly to the assumptions of one Joe Brummer and Wayne Besen, both militant homosexual activists, who claimed on their blogs that Stephen Bennett is out of ministry and gotten a “real job” in real estate, I can share what I have known for weeks.
While Joe Brummer was having his happy dance and rejoicing over his belief that Stephen was out of ministry, Stephen was burying his father Robert Bennett who had just died right before Thanksgiving. Since I am a friend of Steve’s and knew what was going on all I could do was wonder, what if Joe or Wayne knew that Steve had just lost his father - would they somehow did a happy dance and continued to wish ill on him and his ministry. Only God knows.
All I know is that Stephen Bennett is still in ministry, and a very active one at that. And Steve has taken a job, in order to meet financial needs. And with our economy the way it is, and people losing jobs and increase in prices and gas, normal donors have stopped giving to ministries.
It’s happening everywhere - as most of us know.
So, I would ask you all to keep Stephen Bennett and his family in your prayers, as the loss of a parent is a HUGE loss and the Christmas season is upon us. And if you can give a donation to help them, then please do.

2008 End of Year Giving Campaign
Begins Today ~ Your URGENT Help Is Desperately Needed
Dear Stacy,
In Memory of Robert Bennett
I apologize for the long delay in between e-mails. That past month-plus has been very difficult for me and my family.
On Nov. 13th, my father passed away suddenly after being admitted to the hospital only four days earlier. He died from lung cancer.
My father wasn’t really sick - at least he didn’t let anyone know he was. He was admitted on Sunday with stomach pain, and on Thursday he was gone.
For those of you who know my testimony, my father has been a key figure in my life. 16 years ago, we reconciled and the Lord gave us a second chance. I am very proud today to say Robert Bennett was my father, and I will miss him dearly. I do pray he accepted Christ (Lord knows) and that one day, I may see him again.
Let’s Put An End To “Rumours”…
Several homosexual activists are claiming “victory!” that “Stephen Bennett is no longer in ministry” and that “SBM has finally closed!!”
WRONG. DEAD WRONG.
Friends, Stephen Bennett IS NOT out of ministry — nor am I going ANYWHERE. SBM is experiencing one of the most financially difficult times we have ever had — and these ministry doors have not closed yet. I DO NEED YOUR HELP TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING.. SEE BELOW.
However, NO — Stephen Bennett isn’t going ANYWHERE!!
A New President ~ And New Challenges for This Ministry Ahead
Come January 2009, we will have a new President and a new Administration. No matter where you stand politically, this Presidency will bring new challenges to Christians, morality, the family, marriage and more.
From the looks of Obama’s actions thus far, homosexuality may be promoted more than any other President in history. Immorality will NEVER be blessed by God — nor will a nation that embraces so-called “acceptance, tolerance and diversity.”
PLEASE stand with SBM TODAY through an end-of year financial gift. This ministry MUST continue — especially in the very trying days to come.
Your 2008 End-of-Year Gift to SBM — URGENT
In my last e-mail to you, we had a $25,000 challenge. Unfortunately, only $11,500 came in toward that — for which I am extremely grateful. However, SBM is again at a crucial point.
SBM’s 2008 End-of-Year Giving Campaign is hoping to raise $35,000 — to pay $15,000 in back bills, and begin the new year strong to help the ministry during the very lean months of January and February.
For the last 8 years, I and many others have devoted our lives to reaching the homosexual for Jesus Christ, helping them to come out of sin, and to help protect traditional marriage, the family and children.
Since last December 2007, this ministry has lost over 65% of our annual support due directly to the declining economy. Our doors have almost closed several times this year — with the Lord coming to the rescue through amazing individuals.
We are at that breaking point once again. SBM doesn’t even have the $5,000 in funds to send our end of the year plea via postal mail to our 6,000 postal customers.
Would you be willing to help in ANY way? Maybe you believe in this ministry as I do, and can afford a gift of $5,000, $10,000 or even $25,000. Would you please be willing to help save this important ministry from closing??
Please help right now with whatever amount you can.
The Lord may have blessed one or more of you in a profound way. There may be one or more who can bless this much needed ministry with a gift of $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 or even $25,000. Please — we are fervently praying right now as you are reading this e-mail. THE LORD CAN DO IT!!
