But let me say that this battle is not yet over, so call your Senator and tell them to VOTE NO on hate crimes, also known as the Pedophile Protection Act.

I’m trying hard to be tolerant and to embrace diversity. But it seems that every time I start to get a handle on things, something pops up that throws all of my recent sensitivity training out of the window. I guess my brain is just impossible to wash. Maybe I am not the one who is confused. We are purposely being confused by the confused. We are receiving a cultural lobotomy as we watch the confused media parade confused experts into our living rooms, to confuse us on the meaning of things for which there should be no confusion.

Up until the mid 1970s, psychiatric experts classified homosexuality as a “mental illness.” Then they decided that it was merely a disorder. Then they decided that it’s not even a disorder, but something perfectly normal and natural. We’re told that it is not a lifestyle choice, but an inborn, inherent, immutable, born-that-way-characteristic that should be embraced with pride and its virtues should be taught to elementary school children.

Two decades ago, Chastity Bono, the daughter of Sonny and Cher, announced to the world that she was a lesbian. She said she was sexually and emotionally attracted to other women. We’re told that this is an inborn, inherent, immutable, born-that-way-characteristic. But last week, she announced that she was no longer a lesbian, but a man and would undergo surgery to change her female parts to male parts.

It used to be easy when there was just gay and straight. But now, sexual identity is a very a complex continuum of heterosexual, homosexual (gay and lesbian), bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, asexual, transgendered (transwomen and transmen), transsexual, cross-dresser, transvestite, drag king/queen, genderqueer, cross-gender, androgyne, pangender, bigender, ambigender, non-gender, agender, gender fluid, intergender, and autogynephilic.

Back to Chastity Bono’s condition, or disorder, or whatever it is. Wikipedia says that “the precise definition for transgender remains in flux.” What? I thought these were inborn, inherent, immutable, born-that-way characteristics? Aren’t we told that people are born with a “gay gene?” Transgender, which is a form of Gender Identity Disorder (GID), designates “a person whose identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female gender roles, but combines or moves between these.”

Apparently, Chastity’s gender confusion has confused her and now she realizes that she has been living a lie. She wasn’t really a lesbian, but a Sonny trapped in a Cher’s body. So, after a little plastic surgery, a shave, and a haircut, Chastity will no longer be Chastity the lesbian, but Chaz the artificial man. The gender “experts” tell us it is perfectly normal and that anyone who would question it is not normal but hateful, judgmental, and intolerant.

I am confused by all the confusing disorders. Let me ask a few questions to see if it can begin to make sense:

After the sexual reassignment surgery, will Chaz be a man or still a lesbian just in a man’s body?

Since Chastity was born with a “gay gene,” when she becomes a man, I assume he’ll then be attracted to men. If not, and Chaz is still attracted to women, would that make him a heterosexual man?

Was Chastity living a lie as a lesbian, because she wasn’t really a lesbian at all, but a man trapped in a woman’s body? If she really isn’t a lesbian, was she born a heterosexual or a homosexual? Did she have a gene transplant?

When Chastity becomes Chaz, will he stay with his current lesbian girlfriend? Seems to me if Chastity was really born with the “gay gene,” her girlfriend is about to lose her former girlfriend to a gay man. (This gives new meaning to the term ex-girlfriend.)

If Chaz stays with his lesbian girlfriend, would they be a heterosexual couple? What would we call them? Husband and wife? Bi-sexuals? Or are they something new, perhaps tri-sexuals (a lesbian with a former lesbian who converted to a heterosexual-homosexual-artificial-man)?

If Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is acceptable and sexual reassignment surgery is acceptable, why not consider Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) as normal and acceptable? (Yes, it’s a real thing.) BIID sufferers obsessively perceive their “true selves” as missing one or more arms and legs (hence the nickname “amputee wannabe”). Rather than trying to help patients learn to live with their desperate yearning to harm themselves, some fringe transhumanists argue that the principle of personal autonomy requires that BIID patients be aided in “safely” becoming the amputees they so desperately want to be. How is this different from sexual reassignment surgery, which involves cutting off healthy body parts to satisfy a yearning to become something they are not?

Shouldn’t we just label pedophilia as Age Confusion Disorder (ACD)? Sex with animals as Species Confusion Disorder (SCD)? Rape is really just Date Confusion Disorder (DCD). Adultery is Spouse Confusion Disorder (SCD).

Will Chaz be forced to get a new birth certificate? Not that it matters. (Why would anyone ever need a real birth certificate anymore?) Is she still an American? The US Constitution says you have to be a “natural born” citizen. What s/he will become is certainly not natural. I guess s/he could just put a Certificate of Live Birth (CLB) on her Web site.

Why aren’t the pro-gay factions desperately trying to get Chastity to stop? They argue that people are born gay or lesbian and it is inherent and immutable, and it will cause great harm to anyone who tries to change from being gay or lesbian. That’s why they constantly protest ex-gay groups like NARTH, Exodus and Evergreen. Why do they embrace Chastity’s choice to change from being a lesbian to a heterosexual-homosexual-artificial-man but curse those who choose to change from being gay to straight?

Well, I hope this cleared everything up. I’m sorry if I seem so narrow-minded. I’ve always been accused of being too analytical. Thanks goodness it will never happen in today’s schools. People who think for themselves are labeled with a disorder, put on Ritalin, and assigned to special classes where the experts will straighten them out.

The good news is that there was not a vote on this yet.

Anyway, as many people did I got on Facebook and Twitter to see what was up and who did it, and immediately I saw the pro-life community denouncing this horrible act - as I did - and will continue to do. The murder of anyone this way is not sane.

But the amazing thing to me is watching how the left side of the blogosphere has responded to this sad event. Instantly there were posts and commentary on television saying that Rush and O’Reilly and Glenn Beck were the ones who caused this event. And of course, I thought - “Naturally, let’s blame everyone except the person who did it.” - Sheesh.

Well, all of the pro-life groups have denounced the murder of George Tiller the Baby Killer and that is the right thing to do. However, let us not forget what George Tiller was known for and how he got his nickname “baby killer”.

According to many reports George Tiller murdered around 60,000 babies…60,000 - and those babies were fully developed and could have easily been born and put up for adoption if they were not wanted.

I was going to show you a picture of one of those aborted babies, but frankly I don’t have the stomach to look at the pictures right now since they are so gruesome. Killer Tiller was a man who had no conscience when it came to killing babies and like O’Reilly says in the video below, he’d do it for $5000. Wow, and totally disgusting.

Blood money - definitely.

But to say that Christians like me and folks like Rush, O’Reilly, and Beck are the cause of Tillers murder is ridiculous. We know the killer is Scott Roeder (allegedly) and that he was mentally ill with schizophrenia. We also know that he wasn’t tied to any pro-life groups who have been blamed already for this horrendous act.

So for the left to be all freaking out and losing their minds by blaming those of us who are genuinely pro-life is insane. See, to the extreme lefties the TRUTH is abhorrent, so they like to lie about the FACTS. George Tiller was a BABY KILLER - plain and simple. He did it for the money, which was blood money. And people like Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, and Rush are simply telling the truth about this man’s evil and wicked deeds. So what Kos and the nuts over at the Daily Kos and the liberal wacko blogs are saying about the video of O’Reilly below about O’Reilly going on a jihad against Tiller - well, no, O’Reilly was doing exactly what those in the light do - exposing the evil deeds of darkness. George Tiller the baby Killer was a dark man, and I hope and pray for his sake that he repented of his sin, and received the Lord Jesus, whose name is Life, because if he didn’t, this man is in hell now. Like it or not, that is the truth.

Hate Crimes Alert – U.S. House of Representatives

In its present form, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 1913) threatens Christian communicators, broadcasters, Bible teachers and everyday citizens. Members of Congress must be told that the freedom of religion and the freedom of speech are not being effectively protected by this hate crimes legislation. A vote on this dangerous bill is scheduled in the House tomorrow.

On April 22 and 23, 2009, the full House Judiciary committee held a session to “mark-up” H.R. 1913. More than a dozen amendments were offered to this legislation, but none provided adequate protection for the freedom of religion and the freedom of speech. The committee then voted 15-12 to approve H.R. 1913.

If this bill becomes law it will add sexual orientation, and something called “gender identity”, as a new basis for federal prosecution. In other words, if someone commits a “hate crime” and the sexual orientation or gender (which can be broadly defined) of the victim is the perceived impetus for that crime, a brand new federal criminal charge would be brought and the sentencing guidelines under this federal law would be much more severe, and could even include life in prison.

This should be of particular concern to religious broadcasters and any minister of the Gospel because their teaching on homosexuality (among other things) could be considered the impetus to a crime, should a listener/viewer/parishioner commit a crime against a homosexual, lesbian, or transgender individual. Or a listener/viewer/parishioner could claim psychological harm was done to them by the Bible’s teaching on homosexuality and other sexual and gender identity issues, and then drag any minister or religious broadcaster into a lengthy court battle.

Despite the hard work of Bob Powers, NRB’s Vice President of Government Relations, and Craig Parshall, NRB’s Senior Vice President of Communications and General Counsel – along with many other pro-family and religious liberty attorneys and organizations – H.R. 1913 is moving forward and remains very dangerous. This legislation should be important to every American because both religious free speech and free religious expression are at risk as the bill is currently written.

The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 will be voted on tomorrow (Wednesday) in House. Following that, the Senate will begin committee deliberation in the weeks ahead.

Truth is the new hate speech. And homosexual activists are laying the groundwork for their own demise.

No kidding. The “hate crimes” bill, H.R. 1913, which passed out of the House Judiciary Committee last week, is aimed at silencing speech. This thought crimes bill is scheduled for a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives tomorrow, and when you pair it with existing law (found in Title 18 of the U.S. Criminal Code), it will unmistakably criminalize speech.

It specifically targets anyone who dissents to the homosexual agenda as aiding in the commission of a crime, making them “punishable as a principal.” If you care about free speech or the ability to read the Bible in anything other than hushed tones, you had better call your U.S. representative today to block it: 202-224-3121.

Otherwise, we all face a fate similar to that of Mr. Geert Wilders, member of the Dutch Parliament, who knows first hand what these speech-limiting laws can do. Wilders is indicted in his own country for speaking the truth. I spoke at a dinner honoring him yesterday in Boca Raton, Fla., and featured him as a guest on the radio yesterday. Wilders has been indicted for “hate speech” in the Netherlands for the “crime” of making a film that exposes the truth about Islamic jihad. Wilders was denied admission into the United Kingdom because of it. I recommend his 17-minute film, called FITNA, to everyone who cares about freedom.

You see, these people, whom the Department of Homeland Security are so worried about offending, don’t just want to destroy Jews and Christians. They are calling for the death of all non-Muslims in their fascist plan to dominate the world.

And to the homosexual community so anxious to criminalize speech? Here’s what you may not know: Topping the Islamic jihadists’ target list are … homosexuals. That’s right. If you think “hate” is disagreeing with you, you’d better think again. When you watch the film, you can read the headlines, including: “Imam legalizes violence against gays,” and Islamist headlines like “Throw gays from tall buildings.” This is not what Christians are saying. This is not what Christians believe. No, Christians are the ones standing against this kind of thing – and are being targeted for it.

Unlike in the United States, where laws protecting everyone – including homosexuals – are in place and remain unchallenged, laws like H.R. 1913 that limit speech are harmful to everyone.

You see, those are the kind of laws that are being used to target people like Geert Wilders. The Islamic jihandists linked to al-Qaida have put a price on his head. Those are the same people our Department of Homeland Security refuses to acknowledge. They won’t mention the word jihad even though that’s the word those who are working for our destruction, themselves, use.

No, instead, they are calling law-abiding American citizens “the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States.” Conservatives are the New Terrorists. According to their “Rightwing Extremism” report, among those stigmatized as extremists and potential terrorists are: Iraq war veterans, gun owners and Second Amendment advocates, pro-lifers, constitutionalists (those who believe in federalism) and immigration-reform advocates seeking to secure our borders.

Not content with slander, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano is calling for domestic spying on opponents of the Obama administration.

Here’s the good news: An ad campaign sponsored by nearly 20 organizations, is demanding Napolitano’s immediate removal as secretary of DHS, along with a sincere apology from President Obama for the damage done to the reputations of those smeared by the report, along with its immediate retraction.

The ad includes pictures of George Washington, Mother Teresa, Ronald Reagan and Pope Benedict XVI – all “right-wing extremists,” according to Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security.

The ad is sponsored by a coalition of organizations including the American Family Association, Religious Freedom Coalition, Let Freedom Ring, United States Justice Foundation, Vision America and Faith2Action, among others. It is running in this week’s Washington Times Weekly and in tomorrow’s Washington Times daily edition.

If you don’t want to be targeted as a potential terrorist, monitored, investigated and searched as individuals in Missouri experienced for the “crime” of displaying pro-family bumper stickers on their car, you need to act now. On the website www.NoPoliticalProfiling.com, you can help us run more adds like this, and add your name to a petition calling for the resignation of Napolitano and the retraction of this appalling report.

Keep in mind this report targets the majority of Americans who also favor traditional marriage.

No, truth is not hate speech. Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who said she agrees with the majority in California who voted for marriage between one man and one woman, was hatefully attacked. The homosexual activist judge engaged in venomous name calling, giving the beautiful woman a “zero,” costing her the Miss USA crown. I assume his curse words would apply to the majority of voters in the state of California and to the 30 out of 30 states where traditional marriage was overwhelmingly defended by state ballot measures.

But far more significant than any crown, it’s our freedom of speech that is at stake. And to the homosexual community I respectfully say: Disagreeing with you is not hate. If you want to see what hate really is, keep criminalizing speech and you’ll read the headlines like Geert Wilders reports from the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. See what happens when those who hate all of us are given free reign and when all opposition is declared illegal just like the hate speech laws you’re working to pass.

A few days ago I had the opportunity to do an interview with author and prophet John Meacham about his new book Is Your Church Heavenly? A Question from Christ for Every Christian and I want to encourage you to take some time to listen to our conversation.
This is by far one of the most interesting conversations I’ve had with an author and John Meacham was a delight to talk to. In our podcast we discuss the dreams that John had that led him to Israel, and how his book came to fruition.

I also share with John my experience seeing an angel and a testimony of how God blesses those who step out in faith.

Although this conversation is often light and entertaining, the underlying message is that God is calling His church to repent and to open the door to Him.

Today there was a counter protest to some Islamic protesters who were supposed to be coming to protest Geert Wilder who was speaking at Chapman University. I was notified last night of the protest and figured since it was right in my back yard, that I would make an appearance and see exactly what was happening.
Well, it appears that the Islamic organizations didn’t show up…at least not in the two hours I was there. But what was really cool was that I met a lot of people who were from Brigitte Gabriel’s group Act for America.

And about an hour or so after I was there, everyone saw Robert Spencer from Jihad Watch, come walking towards where Geert was going to be speaking and the crowd, of about 60 people, broke out into spontaneous applause for Robert.

Well, I got totally excited because I had no clue he was going to be there, and then after we all applauded he came over and greeted us who were standing for America and against Islamic terrorism.

And since I am so shy, I decided I would walk up to him, shake his hand, introduce myself, ask for his card and a few pictures. And this is what I got…not the best picture in the world, but WHO really cares, I got to meet THE Robert Spencer! And he was very nice…as you can imagine…and since people want to kill him, I consider this picture a treasure.

The shirt I’m wearing is from The Voice of the Martyrs, and it was a big hit with the other protesters. And I only tell you this, because someone asked me about it before I posted the picture.

Due to the ever increasing frustration I have with WordPress and the inability this site has to maintain comments and add simple things easily like images, I have decided to expand this website and join up at Ning, so that it’s easier to interact with people who read this blog all the time, and follow what I’m doing on Twitter, Facebook and other various places.

Walid Shoebat is a former Muslim terrorist and now a staunch advocate for the Lord Jesus Christ. Today I had the opportunity to interview Walid about his latest book God’s War on Terror : Islam, Bible Prophecy and the Bible.

Last week the California Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the validity of Proposition 8, passed by California voters last November. At issue before the justices was the validity of the voter-initiated vehicle for changing the state’s Constitution as well as how the court should treat the more than 18-thousand homosexual couples that were “married” last summer before Proposition 8 took affect. We provide you with two views of this event from those inside the courtroom that day.

Jeremy Hooper from Good As You is attacking my friend Peter LaBarbera again on his blog today. This time Jeremy is mocking Peter’s post MSM: Gross Perversion ‘Power Bottom’ Defined by citing Peter’s post and renaming it Anal Sex News you can use with Peter LaBarbera.

Jeremy writes, “When it comes to attacks on our sex, Peter LaBarbera can certainly lube ‘em up and mount ‘em. For instance, here is the entirety of a new piece that the “power anti-sodom” has posted to his Americans For Truth site:”

This is also the same Jeremy who wrote, “Hell, he’s trying to silence our sex lives!” When in reality, what Peter LaBarbera is doing is exposing the depravity of the homosexual lifestyle.

Ex Gay Watch, a blog that exists to monitor those who have successfully chosen to leave the homosexual lifestyle, is complaining about an Ex-Gay Conference that took place in Uganda - and they are calling it “freakish” …Wow…and yet if you read through this tedious post from Ex Gay Watch, the astute observer will note that EGW doesn’t refute anything said at this conference in Uganda, and once again they resort to attacking Exodus and anyone who has indeed chosen to leave the sinful lifestyle of homosexuality. So in the words of EGW - “How sad.”

Meanwhile, Wayne Besen over at Truth Wins Out an organization he has dedicated to attacking anyone who has left the homosexual lifestyle, is citing what he calls “Another Doomed ExGay Marriage” and of course attacks NARTH, Exodus, and Focus on the Family.

What I find fascinating about the actual article in the Sacramento Bee is that no where in that article does it say that Jacques Whitfield claimed to be an Ex-gay and then got married. So Besen’s reporting is misleading as usual. What the article does say is that Whitfield’s marriage started to unravel after four years of marriage. He was married in 1993 and then in 1997. Here’s an excerpt:

Jacques Whitfield said that by 1997 the marriage had begun to unravel, and his work life suffered.

He was trapped in what he remembers calling a “cycle of shame.”

He’d have an affair, be overcome with remorse, shower his wife with gifts, and then stray again. On several occasions they separated.

“I’m acting out and committing homosexual acts, and I don’t want to be homosexual. ‘I don’t want to be gay,’ ” Whitfield said he’d tell himself. “I’m telling myself in my mind I can stop at any time.”

Since then, Whitfield said he’s “gone though everything except shock therapy trying not to be gay.”

This is indeed a sad situation, however, it has nothing to do with this marriage being destroyed because the husband claimed to be an “ex gay” - so just be aware when you read what homosexual activists write, it’s usually interpreted to support their position.

Meanwhile, lesbian Pam Spaulding is wondering what relationship will be left intact on the homosexual drama “The L Word”. Who cares…that’s what I say.

We’ll have more next time. Until then, please pray that those who are deceived into believing the lie of the devil concerning this lifestyle, are delivered.

And what is even worse, is that there are a lot of Christians who voted to put this lover of death into office. It’s a sad day in America.

I also had a well meaning guy try to convince me that using the word homosexual was demeaning to the homosexual. Which is straight out of the homosexual manifesto found in the book After the Ball that apparently few homosexuals want to admit is their manifesto.

If you missed the oral arguments you may view them online eventually…I’m sure.

THE HOMOSEXUAL RIGHTS CAMPAIGN (Read HUMAN Rights Campaign) has decided to launch a hate site called END THE LIES which is targeting anyone who disagrees with their immoral campaign. Again, this fits the bill right with what the authors of their homosexual manifesto - After the Ball - wrote. Naturally, their first target is Ken Starr because he argued, what many are saying was the winning argument for Prop. 8 today.

Nelson Garcia, convicted homosexual sex offender, is reporting on his blog that most of the homosexual activists are noting that the arguments for an overturning of Prop. 8 isn’t likely.

Joe Jervis, also a homosexual blogger, is reporting that the reporting in most California papers is saying that it’s not looking good for the No on 8 people.

Jervis has also posted on his site a video called Faces of Hate: Yes on 8 and of course mentions that the people in the video are considered a “hate group” by what I would call a real hate group, The Southern Poverty Law Center. I happen to get the Southern Poverty Law Center’s emails and generally it’s anyone who they disagree with that they consider “haters”.

Meanwhile, over at Americablog, run by John Aravosis, highlights a hit piece on Rush Limbaugh in the New York Times - you know, that extremely fair and balanced work of journalism….augh…

The Liberal OC shared some of his pictures from the so called “Eve of Justice” event that took place last night. This writer also notes, that generally when there is a candle light vigil of some type, it is usually when someone has died - not when the majority of people have voted to define marriage. I just find that imagery interesting. Remember, it’s all in the marketing.

Meanwhile a “Blender” contributor named Julie Waters discusses her feelings about how she sees marriage as an “abstraction” in her blog entry titled Some days I just really get angry and I would have to say, since the homosexual lobby is run by anger, that’s not really surprising to me at all.

A few things have changed in my life recently, all for the good, and with those changes I have been doing a lot more social networking and focusing on other venues to get out information quicker. But before I tell you about that, let me tell you about what the Gideons International has been doing this week in Long Beach, California.

Beginning this past weekend the Gideons have been doing a scripture blitz in the Long Beach area. The last I heard, there were 177 men and women who volunteer with the Gideons International, handing out bibles at schools, universities, hospitals, convalescent homes, military bases and more, and as of the time of this writing there were 25,000 bibles handed out JUST YESTERDAY and close to 40,000 handed out since the blitz began. The goal the Gideons have is to hand out at least 100,000 bibles in the Long Beach area by the end of the week, and I believe it will happen.

Okay, now on to some other good news. Regarding social networking I’ve been really focusing on building my followers on Twitter and Facebook the past few weeks. Right now I have about 526 friends on Facebook and 1075 followers on Twitter. I am taking care of 4 Twitter accounts at the moment, and I have the honor of letting people know about Janet Parshall’s programs Talking It Over with Janet Parshall and Janet Parshall’s America. So I’ve been twittering for Janet at http://www.twitter.com/talkingitover
and have been excited to see people learn about her show and start to listen and become more informed.

I also am Twittering for The Voice of the Martyrs persecution blog account which you can follow at http://www.twitter.com/persecutionblog and have been growing that audience daily as well.

The last place I’ve been Twittering is for Grandma’s House of Hope, but I haven’t been focusing on that as much. But I will be growing that account more in the coming days.

Lastly, and this is to my fellow activists, I have not stopped following the fall out from Proposition 8 and what is happening with religious freedom, hate crimes, the fairness doctrine or Obama’s anti-live-baby administration. We definitely have a lot on our hands when it comes to watching what this man is doing to our country, and honestly, it grieves me to no end that Barack Hussein Obama has done the wicked things he has done concerning abortion. We’ll be addressing these issues and more in the coming days.

I also plan on going out tomorrow night to cover the Anti-Yes on 8 crowds “Eve of Justice” little event. I’m sure when they see me holding my sign supporting the vote of the people and marriage as a man and woman, their “tolerance” will shine through very brightly. I hope to have pictures and video to share later. So until then…keep looking up, because the soon and near return of Jesus is near.

I was thinking this morning about the parable in Mark 4 about the Sower and the Soils and something occurred to me as I was reading the explanation that Jesus gave his disciples who wanted to know what it meant. Here’s part of what Jesus said:

13(I)And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?

14″The sower sows the word.

15″These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately (J)Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.

16″In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;

17and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.

18″And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word,

19but the worries of (K)the [a]world, and the (L)deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20″And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and (M)bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”

What stood out to me was what I bolded - and in particular “…when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.”

This stood out to me because of writing and reading a lot about persecution, but even more so I see a connection between those who do not understand that God’s LOVE will never be separated from them even when they suffer, versus those who stand firmly in God’s word and His Love who are able to stand under persecution.

What this tells me is that it is important in our churches and ministries, to emphasize how great and how wide and how deep and how passionate God’s love is for us. If we emphasize the passion and death of Jesus Christ and understand the LOVE of that great sacrifice, then it may bear fruit of patience and endurance during times of persecution and suffering.

When a person is not grounded in God’s love, just like Jesus said, they tend to fall away when affliction or when persecution arises.

The Academy Awards showed its support for sexual perversions last night at its annual Oscar ceremony.

And, the Academy wrongly painted the Entertainment Industry as a bunch of Commie rats, as it applauded Communist sympathizer Sean Penn’s gleeful greeting after winning an award for portraying an assassinated homosexual leader, “You Commie, homo-loving sons of guns!”

The Oscar audience applauded madly when Penn, who won Best Actor for his portrayal of murdered homosexual activist Harvey Milk in the movie MILK, angrily chastised voters in California, including 70% of black voters, for having the gall in last November’s elections to support the real definition of marriage.

In a mean spirited curse, Penn said, “I think it’s a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect on their great shame, and their shame in their grandchildren’s eyes if they continue that support. We’ve got to have equal rights for everyone.”

In the past, Penn has also expressed support for Hugo Chavez, the Neo-Marxist dictator of Venezuela, and Communist dictator Fidel Castro of Cuba.

The audience also clapped when the winning screenwriter for MILK, Dustin Lance Black, proclaimed his bigotry when he commented, “If Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he would want me to say to all the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told they are less than by the churches, by the government, by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value, and that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you and that very soon, I promise you, you will have equal rights, federally, across this great nation of ours. Thank you, God, for Harvey Milk!”

At the beginning of the show, host Hugh Jackman described the message of MILK as, “It’s okay to be gay.”

Of course, Jesus Christ believes otherwise.

“Haven’t you read,” he says in Matthew 19:4-6, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So, they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not tear apart.”

The movie industry also gave an Oscar to Kate Winslet for playing an illiterate escaped Nazi war criminal and pedophile that repeatedly seduces a 15-year-old boy.

Even though she played a pedophile, Hollywood decided that Kate Winslet finally deserved to get an Oscar for her performance in THE READER.

Earlier in the evening, actress Marisa Tomei, who plays a stripper in THE WRESTLER, was applauded for showing that “a stripper doesn’t have to lose her dignity when taking off her clothes.”

The attack on biblical values continued as Meryl Streep was praised for portraying a strict Catholic nun who struggles with herself and the fact that modern times are passing her by.

Later in the telecast, atheist Bill Maher was given a platform to rail against religion when he said, “Someday we’ll have to confront the notion that our silly gods cost the world too greatly.”

Maher and Penn’s statements notwithstanding, statistics show that movies with very strong Christian worldviews like PRINCE CASPIAN and FIREPROOF averaged $43.5 million at the box office while movies with very strong atheist or anti-Christian worldviews like Maher’s RELIGULOUS averaged only $11.2 million and movies with very strong pro-homosexual content like MILK averaged even worse, only $6.3 million.

In fact, the more homosexual content a movie had, the less it earned at the box office, according to MOVIEGUIDE®’s Annual Report to the Entertainment Industry, which examined the Top 250 English-language movies at the box office:

“Oscar obsessed liberals are out of touch with the American people,” MOVIEGUIDE® Publisher Dr. Ted Baehr said. “They attacked the faith and values of the 80% of Christians who worship Jesus Christ. Dr. Baehr said he also found it “bizarre” that the Oscars ignored such box office hits as THE DARK KNIGHT, IRON MAN and Clint Eastwood’s GRAN TORINO.

“Apparently, these movies were too conservative for Hollywood’s celebrity elite.”

I have a straightforward question, which I hope you will answer in a straightforward way: Is it your intention to censor talk radio through a variety of contrivances, such as “local content,” “diversity of ownership,” and “public interest” rules — all of which are designed to appeal to populist sentiments but, as you know, are the death knell of talk radio and the AM band?

You have singled me out directly, admonishing members of Congress not to listen to my show. Bill Clinton has since chimed in, complaining about the lack of balance on radio. And a number of members of your party, in and out of Congress, are forming a chorus of advocates for government control over radio content. This is both chilling and ominous.

This is sick, and it shows the desperation of the Right to begin its 2010 campaign in West Virginia on the backs of LGBTs. They can’t run on the economy, the war or just about anything else, so it’s back to the homo strawman. This is the stellar work of wv4marriage.com. Christy Hardin Smith at FDL and WVBlue:

Now, one would think reading Pam’s commentary that this video had some nutcase like say Fred Phelps holding a sniper rifle at a homosexual or lesbian couple, and actually shooting them. But that isn’t even close to what this video shows.

The fact is that the video is extremely accurate in describing the tactics of the homosexual movement to get what they want. The fact is also that they hate how God defined marriage as ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN. So instead of dealing in reality, they mock and make up ridiculous statements like Pam did. It’s actually very sad when you think about it.

Watch the video yourself and see what Pam thinks is “sick”. And just remember Pam is calling heterosexuality “sick”.

Turns out that “Santa” was in Denver also coming to Nashville for a Santa conference. Seriously, there are about 75 Santa’s that get together to perfect their craft of being Santa. I have a picture of me with two Santa’s I met, but I’ll have to show you after I get back home.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – New Life Church will recover from new allegations in the 2-year-old sex scandal that brought down founder Ted Haggard, its pastor said Sunday.

Brady Boyd encouraged his Colorado Springs congregation and reminded them of their “holy tenacity,” two days after revelations that a male church volunteer reported having a sexual relationship with Haggard.

It’s the second such claim against Haggard. In late 2006, a male prostitute in Denver said he had a three-year cash-for-sex relationship with the former New Life pastor.

“I’m sorry that this wound has been reopened for many of you,” Boyd told the congregation Sunday. “One day we may have a little scar tissue, but the wounds will not define us.”

As part of its effort to get back on track financially, Crystal Cathedral laid off an unknown number of staff last week, including the church’s executive pastor and the pastor of its Hispanic ministry.

As part of its effort to get back on track financially, Crystal Cathedral laid off an unknown number of staff last week, including the church’s executive pastor and the pastor of its Hispanic ministry.

“These are really a group of great, talented people. But our numbers are down and we’re trying to make it under tough economic conditions like everyone else,” said Rick Mysse, a denominational executive for the Reform Church of America, which oversees the Garden Grove, Calif., megachurch, according to the local Orange County Register.

Mysse declined to name those who were laid off, but said among those let go was the pastor who headed Crystal Cathedral’s Hispanic ministry.

Washington, D.C. – The controversial funding for family planning in the bloated economic stimulus bill couldn’t stand the light of exposure. Last week Reps. John Boehner (R-Ohio), Eric Cantor (R-Virginia) and Mike Pence (R-Indiana) cast a spotlight on the multi-billion dollar plunder for family planning as an example of ridiculous spending in the $825 billion bill. This week it was removed from the bill.

“Nancy Pelosi defended the massive pay-off to her political ally Planned Parenthood by claiming that reducing the number of America’s children will benefit government. The economic stimulus bill forces the next generation to pay for it – yet immense funding for contraception will reduce the number of people in the next generation. Rather than complain that America’s children are a drain on government health care and education, Congress should stop growing government programs. Value children, not government. Reduce spending, not people,” stated Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America.

However, the bill also kills funding for responsible sexual health programs (abstinence education) and includes $335 million for sexually transmitted disease (STD) education and prevention programs. In the past the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) used this STD education funding for programs that may stimulate some people, but not the economy. The CDC used its budget for:

· A transgender beauty pageant in San Francisco that advertised available HIV testing;

· Funded an event by the Stop AIDS Project called “Got Love? – Flirt/Date/Score” that taught participants how “to flirt with greater finesse”;

· Funded events called “Booty Call” and “Great Sex” put on by an organization that received $698,000 in government funds.

“This bill still funds programs that encourage irresponsible sexual activity that increases health care costs,” stated Wendy Wright.

Well, apparently the Evangelical Alliance wants to make sure our new President owns a bible. They were very concerned because when he took the oath for the second time, that he didn’t swear on the bible. So they are making sure that Obama receives a new bible, and not just any new bible, but the Bible Society’s Poverty and Justice Bible.

Mr Obama took the oath of office to be US President for a second time on Wednesday after stumbling over his lines during his official inauguration on Tuesday. He took the oath again “out of an abundance of caution” to put to bed any suggestions by conspiracy theorists that he was not technically president, only this time the ceremony was carried out without the presence of a Bible.

“We are sending him a copy of the Bible in case he is ever biblically caught short again,” said Dr Kandiah. “We are delighted that President Obama takes justice and the alleviation of poverty very seriously, so we will send him a Bible that focuses on these issues that are so close to his, and God’s, heart.”

Bible Society’s Poverty and Justice Bible, published last year, is the first to highlight more than 2,000 passages that speak of God’s attitude to poverty and justice. It aims to show that on the biggest issues of the day, God got there first and has something to say

I’d also recommend they start one of Kay Arthur’s Precept Upon Precept classes with Obama, because he really needs to learn to study the bible correctly.

Mayor Sam Adams publicly apologizes in Portland for lying about having a sexual relationship with an intern in 2005. “I am very ashamed and humbled and humiliated, and I think that is appropriate,” said Adams, 45.

The mayor of Portland, Ore., said Sunday he would not resign despite calls for him to do so after he admitted he lied and asked a teenager to lie about their sexual relationship.

“Tomorrow, I go back (to) work as your mayor. I know I have let you down and made mistakes. I ask your forgiveness,” Mayor Sam Adams said in a statement. “I believe I have a lot to offer the city I love during this time of important challenges.”

Adams, who was just sworn in on Jan. 1, publicly apologized this past week for lying early in his campaign about the relationship with an 18-year-old man in 2005.

While two initiatives seeking to undo the voter-approved November measure have already been submitted to the Secretary of State, leaders of the bitter No on 8 campaign say next year may be too soon to bring the issue back to the ballot.

His actions came one day after the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.

Even though there was a great deal of positive feedback, in fact, according to Rev. Bacon, the positive outweighed the negative 30-1, there was a certain degree of negative backlash.

When Oprah asked the Reverend if he had heard from the “Right Wingers”, he commented that the “most mean spirited emails I received were from Christians.”
Again, hate, intolerance and bigotry at it’s best…and all in the name of God!

The Freedom of Choice Act; Barack Obama’s First Priority by Rick Scarborough

In 2007, Barack Obama stood before the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and promised that the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would be the first piece of legislation he would sign and in doing so it would “transform this nation.” On Tuesday he stood before millions of Americans as he was sworn into office as the 44th President of the United States. On Wednesday, I assume he will begin the process of keeping his promise to Planned Parenthood, the leading abortion provider in the world.

My friends, there are not enough words to convey the seriousness of this piece of legislation. Now is not the time to bury our heads in the sand and hope this will go away. It won’t. If we don’t do something about it, the basic fundamental right to be born will be taken from millions of unborn children, ironically, in the name of “freedom.”
There are over 550 federal, state and local laws that FOCA will nullify the moment that President Obama signs it into law. Americans United for Life has compiled a list of some of those laws that pro-life activists and legislators have worked vigilantly to pass since Roe v. Wade was mandated upon the land by the Supreme Court on January 22, 1973.

These laws will suddenly be eradicated in one fatal piece of legislation.

Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003

Hyde Amendment (restricting taxpayer funding of abortions)

Restrictions on abortions performed at military hospitals

Restrictions on insurance coverage for abortion for federal employees

Informed consent laws

Waiting periods

Parental consent and notification laws

Health and safety regulations for abortion clinics

Requirements that licensed physicians perform abortions

“Delayed enforcement” laws (banning abortion when Roe v. Wade is overturned and/or the authority to restrict abortion is returned to the states)

Bans on partial-birth abortion

Bans on abortion after viability. FOCA’s apparent attempt to limit post-viability abortions is illusory. Under FOCA, post-viability abortions are expressly permitted to protect the woman’s “health.” Within the context of abortion, “health” has been interpreted so broadly that FOCA would not actually proscribe any abortion before or after viability.

Limits on public funding for elective abortions (thus, making American taxpayers fund a procedure that many find morally objectionable)

Limits on the use of public facilities (such has public hospitals and medical schools at state universities) for abortions
State and federal legal protections for individual healthcare providers who decline to participate in abortions

Legal protections for Catholic and other religiously-affiliated hospitals who, while providing care to millions of poor and uninsured Americans, refuse to allow abortions within their facilities

President Obama has the will and the votes in Congress to keep his campaign promise to pass this ghastly legislation.

What we must do is make its passage so painful that he decides that other more pressing issues, like saving the American economy, makes this a back burner issue.

There are enough Christians in America to do that if you and I will mobilize every likeminded friend and fellow Christian we know to rise up and say NO to this bill. Please assist me in stopping this all out assault on innocent unborn life in America.

Lynchburg, VA – Literally within minutes after President Obama took the oath of office yesterday, the official White House webpage was updated – under the heading of “Civil Rights” – to detail Obama’s wholesale “support for the LGBT (homosexual activist) community.” His stated plans include the following:

· Defeating all state and federal constitutional efforts to defend the millennia-old definition of natural marriage;

· Repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) signed by Bill Clinton – the only line of defense keeping all 50 states from being forced to recognize so-called “same-sex marriages” from extremely liberal states like Massachusetts and Connecticut;

· Repealing the military’s “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy;

· Passing constitutionally dubious and discriminatory “hate crimes” legislation, granting homosexuals and cross dressers special rights – denied other Americans – based on changeable sexual behaviors;

· Passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which would force business owners (religious and otherwise) to abandon traditional values relative to sexual morality under penalty of law; and,

· Creating intentionally motherless and fatherless homes and sexually confusing untold thousands of children by expanding “gay adoption.”

Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs with both Liberty Alliance Action and Liberty Counsel released the following statement today in response to Obama’s stated pro-homosexual agenda:

“Well, the high-sheen veneer and ‘cult of personality’ euphoria surrounding Barack Obama looks to be dissolving rather quickly. While millions had hoped for a political ‘messiah,’ it’s rapidly becoming evident that, instead, we’ve stuck ourselves with an extreme leftist ideologue whose brand of ‘change we can believe in’ is, in reality, ‘change we never imagined.’

“For all the talk of ‘hope,’ ‘change’ and ‘coming together,’ it’s becoming abundantly clear that Barack Obama’s administration will likely be the most leftist, divisive and discriminatory in recent memory. I suspect the immediate, stark and ‘in your face’ changes made to the White House website are a metaphor for what we can expect, in terms of policy, from his administration.

“The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated. Right out of the shoot, Obama has told the world that he is signing off, without exception, on every demand of the extremist homosexual and transsexual lobbies. The radical homosexual agenda and religious and free speech liberties cannot occupy the same space. It’s a zero-sum game. When 1 - 2 percent of the population is granted special rights based on deviant sexual proclivities and changeable sexual behaviors, to the detriment of everyone else, that’s called tyranny of the minority. People of faith and those of you with traditional values: hold on to your hats – it’s going to be a bumpy four years,” concluded Barber.

See folks, I am OPPOSED to such wicked behavior and I am proudly OPPOSED to “homosexual/lesbian marriage”, and I don’t care how much these wackos want to try to intimidate me or others who are standing for decency in our culture, I won’t back down.

And all I can say is it’s a good thing I am armed, and as long as we have that right, you can be sure I will be prepared.

Thankfully, Bill O’Reilly is going to see what he can do to expose the cowards that put up the map. Like a cockroach, whoever it was, will run screaming in the light once they are exposed, and the militant sodomite community will have once again proven their sociopathic behavior does indeed exist. Of course, if you’re paying attention, all you have to do is watch the news and it’s all over the news.

Here’s the truth folks, last night I read the PDF of the first chapter that the Harvest House website provides, and after I was done reading it, I was irritated just a little bit because I couldn’t keep reading. And of course, there is a MURDER that takes place in the first chapter and so now I’m wondering WHO it is that was the murderer and WHAT was it in those pages of John Wilkes Booth that need to be guarded.

I seriously have a million questions now. So, if you’re like me, and you love a good legal thriller, you’ll want to get a copy of Craig L. Parshall’s newest book. I’m waiting for a review copy, but I might just hit a bookstore to see if I can find one by “accident”.

Chief Justice John Roberts agreed to hear my case Lightfoot v Bowen, challenging eligibility for presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. He distributed the case to the full conference of the Supreme Court. The timing of this decision by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, is absolutely remarkable. On January 7, one day before the January 8 vote by Congress and Senate, whether to approve or object to the electoral vote of Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, as president of the United States, Chief Justice Roberts is sending a message to them: “Hold on, not so fast, there is value in this case, read it. Hawaiian statue 338 allows Foreign Born children of Hawaiian Residents to obtain Hawaiian Birth Certificates, it allows one to get Hawaiian Certification of Life birth based on a statement of one relative only, without any corroborating evidence. You need to investigate, you need corroborating evidence. If only one Congressman or one Senator presents a written objection, then there has to be a formal investigation by the joint session of Congress and Senate. During this investigation original birth certificate from Hawaii will be subpoenaed. All other pertinent documents will be subpoenaed: Obama’s immigration records, any and all passports from Indonesia, Kenya and Great Britain; University enrollment records, showing if he was enrolled in US schools and universities and received financial aid as a foreign exchange student from Indonesia or Kenya. All of it can be subpoenaed and obtained within a day or two. Each and every member of US Congress and Senate owes it to 320 million American citizens to do his due diligence and demand all necessary records. When American servicemen are told to risk their lives defending Constitution of this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, each and every Congressman and each and every Senator can spend a day or two of their time defending this Constitution, reviewing necessary documents, in order to see if Barack Hussein Obama is a Natural Born Citizen, if he is a citizen at all.” This is the message that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is sending to them, and if they are not listening, there has to be a massive petition drive to recall them. I guess a question I have, is what does our new incoming President really believe?

I still have my tree up in your honor.

Nineteen years ago today was the first time I saw a counselor. Her name was Rachel, and it was a Saturday evening when I had my appointment. I remember it so clearly because I was amazed she saw people on a Saturday, and I also remember because I got lost on my way to her office and I was late - something I hate to be. But I was coming from Riverside down to Orange County and I didn’t know my way around Orange County at that time, so she was gracious and understood why I was late.

All that to say, that if someone had told me today - 19 years later - that my life would be as good as it is today, I’m not sure I would’ve believed them. But the God I know and love has done great and wonderful things in my life, and it began in a very profound way on January 6, 1990.

As it turns out on January 6, 1850 I just learned that the famous Prince of Preachers, Charles Spurgeon, also committed his life to Christ on that day. He was 15 years old, and wasn’t able to go to his normal church. Instead he found a very small church where a man was struggling to preach and the man pointed to Charles and said, “Look, young man! Look! Look to Christ!” - And as history shows, Charles Spurgeon did look to Christ and preached to over 10 million people in his lifetime. (And this was before microphones)

January 6th is indeed, a great day in history.

Well, I received a very nice note from Kay saying she appreciated the prayers and thanked me. And I want to encourage you all to pray for Rick Warren as he has the opportunity to pray in the name of Jesus and/or bow to the political pressure of not praying in His holy name.

We know that he is under a lot of pressure from those both inside the church and also outside the church, so rather than be a critic if you disagree with his theology, please pray for him to have the courage to stand and do the right thing.

Missionaries, not aid money, are the solution to Africa’s biggest problem - the crushing passivity of the people’s mindset

Before Christmas I returned, after 45 years, to the country that as a boy I knew as Nyasaland. Today it’s Malawi, and The Times Christmas Appeal includes a small British charity working there. Pump Aid helps rural communities to install a simple pump, letting people keep their village wells sealed and clean. I went to see this work.

It inspired me, renewing my flagging faith in development charities. But travelling in Malawi refreshed another belief, too: one I’ve been trying to banish all my life, but an observation I’ve been unable to avoid since my African childhood. It confounds my ideological beliefs, stubbornly refuses to fit my world view, and has embarrassed my growing belief that there is no God.

Now a confirmed atheist, I’ve become convinced of the enormous contribution that Christian evangelism makes in Africa: sharply distinct from the work of secular NGOs, government projects and international aid efforts. These alone will not do. Education and training alone will not do. In Africa Christianity changes people’s hearts. It brings a spiritual transformation. The rebirth is real. The change is good.

I used to avoid this truth by applauding - as you can - the practical work of mission churches in Africa. It’s a pity, I would say, that salvation is part of the package, but Christians black and white, working in Africa, do heal the sick, do teach people to read and write; and only the severest kind of secularist could see a mission hospital or school and say the world would be better without it. I would allow that if faith was needed to motivate missionaries to help, then, fine: but what counted was the help, not the faith.

I have been reading and listening to quite a few things regarding end times eschatology. And I am seriously excited about the events that are happening these days because the Lord said that when you see these things happening (my paraphrase) then you know that your redemption draws near.

Well, to the unbeliever and heathen mind, people like me are crazy for believing the bible and believing in the literal return of Jesus Christ. They also say we are crazy for believing in the rapture….well…I know that the bible is true, and all of the prophecy of the bible that has been fulfilled to this day has happened….so I know the rest will also be fulfilled.

I would like to highly recommend a few resources for you to pick up and read and listen to.

First, get the DVD and book by Joel Rosenberg called Epicenter. I have both, and can’t help but recommend these resources more highly enough. The DVD will give you an overview of what’s happening in Israel and the war with Islam.

Also, I highly recommend all the fiction novels by Joel Rosenberg. And you can also get them all in audio book form….which are really good.

Also, check out It Could Happen Tomorrow by Gary Frazier and also Dr. David Jeremiah’s newest book called What In the World Is Going On?: 10 Prophetic Clues You Cannot Afford to Ignore.

1. My friend, who was in jail, and falsely accused of something, was surprisingly let out LAST NIGHT. After spending a year in jail, and dealing with all the legal red tape, the lies of his accuser and the way the messed up legal system is, he was let out last night! So this morning, as I had a special celebration breakfast with our worship team at church, we all hugged him and welcomed him home and back! Believe me, this is indeed a miracle!

2. The picture you see below is something that I stumbled upon right here online yesterday. I LOVED this picture because of what it represents - the crib and the cross. I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

Well, this morning I decided to go shopping for one last thing, and guess what I found ON SALE in this Christian bookstore that is going out of business? Yes, it’s the item in the picture and I got it for half price! HOW COOL IS THAT!

3. Yesterday I also received a great Christmas card from my one of my oldest and dearest friends who have have not heard from in over a decade. She was my matron of honor at my wedding and we just lost touch. We talked on the phone and it was like time had not even passed

4. Last night, I also went to the Grandma’s House dinner that the ladies who are staying in the transitional house, were having. I see these dear women weekly, as I run their therapy group, and last night God laid it on my heart to give them all something very special. So I thought…why not…and I got the gift and took it over to the house. YOU Should have SEEN their eyes! It was so awesome and then to top it off, they gave me special gifts too. Which I will always treasure because these precious ladies have barely anything to give.

5. One of my favorite radio friends shared the Christmas story … and that was cool.

Here is a list of some of the incidents that came to our attention:

In Sandusky, Ohio a 50-year old figure of the Baby Jesus was stolen from a downtown park; it was found a few days later hanging from a ceiling fan in the apartment of the thief who stole it

A Christian pastor in Loma Linda, California was beaten and left in critical condition while decorating his church

In Orange County, Florida a Christian church’s drive-through nativity scene was completely demolished by vandals

The Blessed Virgin figure was stolen from a nativity scene in front of a home in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Twice within a couple of weeks, the crèche in Norwood, Massachusetts was vandalized

A drive-through nativity built by a Christian church in Stone Mountain, Georgia was destroyed

In Waggaman, Louisiana, a 38-year old man, accompanied by two boys, trashed Christmas decorations at five homes

A 50-year old statue of a shepherd was beheaded in a nativity scene in downtown Kingsport, Tennessee

The Holy Family was stolen from a crèche outside of a home in New Albany, Indiana

The nativity scene in front of a Christian church in Christoval, Texas was splattered with red paint

Figures of the Baby Jesus were stolen from homes or churches in Memphis, Tennessee; Littlestown, Pennsylvania; Valrico, California; Akron, Ohio; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Andover, New York; Sumter, South Carolina; St. Charles, Illinois; Moberly, Missouri; Lehighton, Pennsylvania; Bismarck, North Dakota; Omaha, Nebraska; Paw Paw, Michigan; North Richland Hills, Texas; Eureka Springs, Arkansas; and Independence Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Catholic League is the nation’s largest Catholic civil rights organization. Founded in 1973 by the late Father Virgil C. Blum, S.J., the Catholic League defends the right of Catholics – lay and clergy alike – to participate in American public life without defamation or discrimination.

I had the opportunity to meet David a few years ago when we were both at GodBlogCon. He’s a very nice guy and I love his blog.

I don’t agree with either of those sentiments. I actually feel some compassion for Ted Haggard, even though at the time he was going through his scandal I defended him because I thought there was no way he could’ve been lying. Well, turns out I was wrong about that and the rest as they say is history.

I do have compassion on him though because he took a pretty hard fall, and he’s still in a very tough spot. I think we need to just keep him and his family in our prayers and allow the Lord to continue to heal his heart.

The first group that is upset is the homosexual community. They are mad on many levels, but probably the most commentary I’ve seen is that they are mad because Pastor Warren supported a yes vote on Proposition 8.

It seems that the gay activists in particular are going to try to do whatever they can though, to get Obama to either rescind his offer or “Turn Your Back on Rick” - as they are calling it, in the event that Obama doesn’t cave to their demands. Last night I saw on Facebook a new group formed that you can join if you are going to the inauguration and you can stand and turn your back on Rick Warren as he is praying. To which I say…”Whatever…who really cares.”

Another thing I’ve been reading is that Obama is having Rick Warren pray as a way to appease us Evangelicals. I guess that means it’s supposed to be some sort of carrot or peace offering because he won the Presidency. To which I’d say, “Who cares that Rick Warren is praying. As an evangelical I don’t follow Rick Warren or what he does very closely. I go to another church here in Southern California, and so it doesn’t bug me one way or another.” But apparently it matters to many evangelicals…I guess I’m not like them though.

The other group that is having a royal hissy fit naturally is coming from within the Christian community. I received a press release on Friday from Operation Rescue who was fuming over the fact that Obama had picked Rick Warren. And of course, Ingrid Schlueter from her website Slice of Laodicea is having probably the biggest hissy fit of all. But those of us who have had dealings with Ingrid know that she’s pretty much within the Fred Phelps clan of evangelicalism because unless you believe and act her way, you’re not considered a “real Christian” by her. Believe me I know.

So, the bottom line for me is this - If Rick Warren prays - good. If Rick Warren doesn’t pray - who cares. It’s not going to change my life either way. Why in the world people like the homosexual community or the legalistic Pharisees like Ingrid care so much, is beyond me, because it’s not going to change their lives either.

Gay rights group riled by tampon makers’ sex ed books

The youth arm of Sweden’s largest gay rights group has expressed fury at educational material distributed by two major tampon manufacturers.

The two companies, Libresse and OB, are accused by RFSL Ungdom of providing teachers with sex education material that “reinforces offensive norms and opinions”.

One of the books indicates that, for young people, the idea of being homosexual “is enough to send a shiver down their spine.” There is also a passage that states: “If you are a Muslim, you may not be allowed to have a girlfriend or boyfriend”.

In another section, Muslim girls concerned that they might not bleed on their wedding night are advised to contact a gynecologist who can sew stitches in their vaginal opening.

“Libresse and OB ought to be ashamed of themselves for giving out material that is so heteronormative and in many ways racist,” said Felix König, chairman of the youth faction of RFSL, the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights, in a statement.

The two makers of women’s hygiene items have pooled their resources to compile sex education material for pupils aged 13-14 and 15-16.

RFSL Ungdom said it believed the two educational packages produced by the companies ran counter to laws protecting Swedish schoolchildren from exposure to offensive material.

“We hope all schools that have distributed this material gather it back in and throw it away. Pupils shouldn’t have to read offensive opinions. We are also going to contact Schools Minister Jan Björklund,” said Felix König.

If you haven’t heard by now that the national rag called Newsweek has offended and desecrated the Bible in favor of sodomy, well, I’m not sure where you have been…it’s only the cover story this week.

Well, as is the case, it takes a biblical scholar who actually does know what he’s talking about to set the record straight. Robert Gagnon has written the best rebuttal that I’ve seen yet to the yellow bellied journalism Ragweek is publishing these days.

But what I find even more interesting is that none of the homosexual bloggers I read daily took the day off. And of course most of the Castro didn’t bother taking the day off, because the love of money is more important.

Here’s a video that shows you how absolutely pathetic this dumb protest was.

Well, you won’t have to imagine this at all, because tomorrow the narcissistic homosexual community who believe with all of their hearts that the world can’t live with them, are going to “call in gay”.

Personally, I think it’s one of the stupidest and most obnoxious events that militant homosexual community has ever done. And I think it’s going to backfire on them big time.

I think it’s going to backfire for a few reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is because the narcissist is classically infantile in their emotional development and the royal hissy fit these homosexuals are throwing is just evidence of their emotional problems.

In America we have the freedom to vote, and we voted to keep marriage defined as one man and one woman, and the homosexual community LOST.

And they can’t handle the truth…

So instead of acting like mature adults, the militant homosexual community is reverting to their narcissistic, self absorbed, infantile ways and throwing a fit and acting like victims.

The reality is that all they are doing is showing their true colors, and this observer is going to watch it backfire on them big time. Mark my words.

So, imagine my reaction today as I am reading the “Right Wing Watch” blog today. (Which I read daily…by the way) Some guy by the name of Kyle loves to blog about the “right wing” and he seriously thinks he’s funny or a good writer or something, because the way he writes he seriously thinks his point of view is the right one.

So be it, it’s a free country (for the moment anyway).

Well, one of his latest posts is predictably called What is the Right Complaining About Today? And in his little rant, he highlights some of my friends who are on the right side of the culture war.

Kyle points out that the “religious right” didn’t take too kindly to the evil Newsweek cover story that maligns and smears the holy Word of God. To which I say to Kyle, “You betcha!”

Any bible believing Christian with a biblical understanding of the bible isn’t going to take kindly to a national news rag denigrating Christianity. I know I don’t, and this is just another reason I don’t buy the Newsweek rag.

One of the things Kyle also highlights is how Al Mohler wrote a rebuttal to the ragpiece in Newsweek, by pointing out that it’s just another example of the media carrying water for the homosexual agenda. “You betcha!”

The truth is that Newsweek is a mouthpiece for the homosexual agenda, as is most of the other media. And as long as lies are being spread about the God I love and serve, my voice is going to be heard just like my friends from The Family Research Counsel, Concerned Women for America, The Liberty Counsel, American Family Association and others.

So, “I’m speaking out against INTOLERANCE, because for now IT IS THE AMERICAN WAY.”

Earlier this week I emailed you with the report of radical homosexuals assaulting Pastors and Grandmothers in California for the crime of believing that God’s Word is true regarding marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman. If you missed seeing that email, the following is a quote from the content and following the quote, I have inserted a link to the actual report so you may read it in its entirety if you desire.

The ONLY hate and anger being acted upon is coming from radical homosexuals who are now rampaging across California and the nation defacing churches and assaulting Pastors and Grandmothers. WHY??? They believe that God’s Word is crimescenetrue regarding marriage and that children need and deserve a Mother and a Dad; not a Mom and a Mom or a Dad and a Dad! Or…a Dad and a Dad and a Dad and a Dad and a Dad; or a Mom and a Mom and a Mom and a Mom…you get the picture.

The persecution of Christianity in America has begun. Homosexual activists are now making up lists of Christian leaders who oppose their agenda to legitimize what God calls sin and perversion, and making plans to destroy them. And they will succeed if courageous and godly people like you do not stand up and expose them.

Within 24 hours of the delivery of that report to our subscriber’s list, I received an 9 page letter by email, sent to my personal email address which contained numerous threats to me, my family and my associates, so vile that I cannot reprint the letter. Every reference to the various ways the sender threatened to kill or mutilate me was highlighted with yellow marker to make sure I read them all.

…looking for ways to annihilate you off the god —- face of this f——- planet its being taken over by scum suck f—— and you are one and i am gonna send you a letter bomb filled with nails and other such horribly devastating objects to rip your ugly face completely.

At the advice of numerous friends, some in law enforcement, I have turned the matter over to local law enforcement as well as the FBI. This appears to be the work of a psychopath.

Beloved, as I said in the previous email, the persecution of Christianity has begun. Before a man can reach the stage of depravity that believes that anal intercourse with another man is normal and acceptable behavior, he has to sear his own conscience and soon, if true repentance for his sin is not acknowledged, that same man is capable of many destructive behaviors. Romans 1 list some of those behaviors.

Because I am certain that this email will circulate among many homosexual activists who are determined to squelch my voice and harm me if they can, let say a word to them; I do not hate you nor am I out to harm you. In fact I love you so much I am willing to take the risk of being harmed in order to tell you the truth and to offer you help in finding God’s grace and mercy for your sin before it is everlastingly too late.

I Corinthians 6:9 and following states:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind neither thieves nor extortionists, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you, but ye are washed, ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Heaven is filled with former homosexuals, adulterers, thieves, etc., but they all have in common a personal encounter with the God of the universe, who loved them so much He sent His Son to die for them at Calvary and they have turned from their sin to faith in Christ. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to have the opportunity to share God’s love with you, nor to see you find the freedom that walking with God will provide.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A Dutch gay group has organized a “Pink Christmas” festival for the first time in Amsterdam, featuring a manger stall with two Josephs and two Marys.

Other attractions in the 10-day festival include parties, an open-air market, gay-themed films, an ice skating rink and religious services on Dec. 25.

ProGay group chairman Frank van Dalen says the event is intended to increase the range of options for homosexual men and women during the Christmas holiday week.

He said Monday the festival would also encourage people to think about homosexuality and religion.

Some Christian groups have protested. The organization Christians for Truth says the idea “mocks the core concepts of Evangelism.”

Today’s person who could have destroyed Christmas is Jesse: The Shortsighted Father

You may remember that Jesse is the father of King David. And you probably remember that Jesus was born through the Line of David

Here’s a part from today’s lesson:

Isn’t it interesting that when people live in constant sin, and the man of God shows up, they’re afraid of him–”Are you coming peaceably?” The people of Bethlehem knew that things weren’t right because Saul wasn’t the right man. Now they don’t know what to do to fix it, but they’re concerned that Samuel in fixing it may destroy them–but that’s not why he’s there. Look at the next verse.

Verse 4(-6), “So Samuel did what the Lord said, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, ‘Do you come peaceably?’ And he said, ‘Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.’ Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.

While Joe Brummer was having his happy dance and rejoicing over his belief that Stephen was out of ministry, Stephen was burying his father Robert Bennett who had just died right before Thanksgiving. Since I am a friend of Steve’s and knew what was going on all I could do was wonder, what if Joe or Wayne knew that Steve had just lost his father - would they somehow did a happy dance and continued to wish ill on him and his ministry. Only God knows.

All I know is that Stephen Bennett is still in ministry, and a very active one at that. And Steve has taken a job, in order to meet financial needs. And with our economy the way it is, and people losing jobs and increase in prices and gas, normal donors have stopped giving to ministries.

It’s happening everywhere - as most of us know.

So, I would ask you all to keep Stephen Bennett and his family in your prayers, as the loss of a parent is a HUGE loss and the Christmas season is upon us. And if you can give a donation to help them, then please do.

I apologize for the long delay in between e-mails. That past month-plus has been very difficult for me and my family.

On Nov. 13th, my father passed away suddenly after being admitted to the hospital only four days earlier. He died from lung cancer.

My father wasn’t really sick - at least he didn’t let anyone know he was. He was admitted on Sunday with stomach pain, and on Thursday he was gone.

For those of you who know my testimony, my father has been a key figure in my life. 16 years ago, we reconciled and the Lord gave us a second chance. I am very proud today to say Robert Bennett was my father, and I will miss him dearly. I do pray he accepted Christ (Lord knows) and that one day, I may see him again.

Today is day 2 of Dr. Kroll’s very cool Christmas series from Back to the Bible. Today Dr. Kroll spoke about the The Kinsman: The Spineless Relative.

Hey, do you have any of those in your family?

Well, I LOVED today’s lesson because Dr. Kroll clearly laid out what he called the Levirate marriage, which means a brother marrying a widow to raise children for his brother.

It was a very interesting lesson and something that could have changed the lineage of Jesus if Boaz hadn’t stepped up and married Ruth.

Here’s a snip that explains what a widow could do if her brother in law would not step up and marry her per the Levirate marriage tradition.

But if the man does not want to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate to the elders and say, ‘My husband’s brother refuses to raise up a name to his brother in Israel; he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.’”

There it is again, over and over again, Levirate.

“Then the elders of the city shall call him and speak to him. But if he stands firm and says, ‘I do not want to take her,’ then his brother’s wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, remove his sandal from his foot, spit in his face, and answer and say, ‘So shall it be done to the man who will not build up his brother’s house.’

And his name shall be called in Israel, ‘The house of him who had his sandal removed.’”

If you read my blog frequently, then you know that one of my favorite ministries is Back to the Bible and I am thrilled that Back to the Bible is starting a very cool new series just in time for Christmas.

The series is called Ten People Who Could Have Destroyed Christmas and I am going to highlight for the next ten programs they do, every single one of the lessons that Dr. Woodrow Kroll does.

Today’s lesson is called Cain: The Hateful Brother. You can listen or watch the broadcast at the link.

Here’s a highlight:

All right, now we’re 73 verses into deep into the story of 23,214 verses. Already God has promised a redeemer and the Redeemer is in the form of one who would be of the seed of the woman. Now, you’re Adam and Eve. You’re alone in the garden except with some animals and a few other things running around there. Suddenly everything changes because you have a child. Chapter 4, verse 1.

“Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, ‘I have acquired a man from the Lord’” (Genesis 4:1, NKJV).

Now don’t lose this. Don’t lose the connection between chapter 3 and chapter 4. In chapter 3 God provided a promise in which he said there will be seed from you. There will be an offspring from you, and that offspring will defeat Satan. Now, you’re Adam and Eve. Who do you think that offspring is going to be? This is him right here. We have him already. It’s Cain. Obviously Cain is the one who’s gonna fulfill God’s promises. At least so Adam and Eve thought.

1. Don’t neglect people skills. (1 Peter 3:15)

When a cultist comes to your door, don’t open the door and be a sour puss. Instead, be open and friendly.

The biblical apologist has to be a person who is completely committed to Jesus Christ.

2. Don’t assume that all members of a cult believe the same thing. Never tell them what they believe, instead listen and ask wise questions.

3. Always define your terms. Consider this statement, “Jesus Christ is God. He was crucified and He shed His blood, and then resurrected from the dead. Scripture speaks of His second coming.”

Remember that a cultist will read the above statement and apply a different meaning.

4. Always check scripture verses when they cite scripture from memory.

Bahai’s, for example, claim Baha’u'llah is “another comforter” in John 14. (Note: The Bible says in John 14 that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter)

5. Be aware that cultists are trained to answer common objections. They always have an answer for everything and are very well trained.

You need to always bring the conversation back to the scriptures.

6. Ask strategic questions. This forces a cultist to think for themselves.

Example: Mormonism - Humans become gods?

How do you interpret Isaiah 43:10 where God says, “Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.”

7. Give your testimony and share what the Lord Jesus has done in your life.

One of the reasons I started to blog was because I simply love to write. In fact, I can remember my sixth grade teacher praising a poem I wrote for class and putting it on the wall so everyone could read it. Then as I got older and in college, I remember a professor in an English class I had, took my paper and used it as an example of what to do in regards to creative writing. I’ll never forget that assignment because we had to pretend we were an alien from another planet, read the paper and then write about what the country was like. I remember thinking that was a crazy assignment, but I really enjoyed it because even back then I was learning about media bias. And incidentally, ALF was on air at the time also.

And so every year, especially as holidays come up, it is traditional for bloggers to share a few thoughts about the holiday. Since today is Thanksgiving, I wanted to publicly acknowledge the One who gave me life, the ability to write, and every other great blessing that I have in life.

At forty years old now, I am in wonder as to how great the Lord is. And if you’re like me, then you can look back through your life and see how He has faithfully moved His hand in your life. I could tell you a number of miracles the Lord has done in my life, and that would probably take until my life is over because there are so many of them. But I will share one memory in particular that has stood out in my heart especially these past few weeks.

It was many years ago when I was around 18 or 19 years old that I was driving my little Mustang II, which was the first vehicle I owned, when I came upon a red light during a rainstorm and I went to put my brakes on and they didn’t quite work. Instead the weirdest thing happened and my foot somehow hit the gas pedal and I swished through the light at lightening speed and missed an oncoming car that would have hit me from the left.

I remember this incident so vividly because it was like an angel took control of my car for just that split second, and literally saved my life. And to this day, I still can’t really explain how it happened, but I know that that night, my life was saved, and God had delivered me from a horrible accident and premature death.

I am thankful for that night for so many reasons, but mostly because it is one of countless times that God literally intervened in my life. And I am so thankful that for whatever His reason was, that He has called me His daughter and called me by His name. It really is an amazing thought to consider that the God of the Universe, the Creator of All things, knows my name - but He does.

Another thing that is totally amazing to me is that His love is unconditional and unwavering. There is no love like the love of my Heavenly Father. No love purer, no love holier and no love more real, than the love of God.

And I am thankful that in my deepest hour of need, my deepest hour of pain and tragedy, and my deepest hour of loneliness, that the Lord of Creation listened to my prayer for His help and mercy.

If you’re a Christian, then I am sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. As you know, that even in your thoughts, God listens and speaks to you. While you are sleeping, God often speaks to you and while you are doing everyday normal things, the Lord is moving in your life.

So out of a zillion things I could list that I am thankful for, the One that is the most precious to me is knowing God, through His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Messiah.

Jesus is the Creator of all things.

Jesus is the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords.

Jesus is I AM.

Jesus is God.

Jesus is Love.

Jesus is my friend.

That is what I am thankful for today, and every day.

It’s hard to believe that seven years have passed since President Bush made his surprise visit to troops in Baghdad for Thanksgiving. It was the topic of discussion across dinner tables around the nation that day. It was also the hot topic in Iraq amongst the troops. The following email from a Captain who was present recounts:

“We knew there was a dinner planned with Ambassador Bremer and General Sanchez. There were 600 seats available and all the units in the division were tasked with filling the tables. I chose not to go. At about 1500 [hours] the G2, LTC Devan, came up to me and with a smile, asked me to come to dinner with him, to meet him in his office at 1600 and bring a camera. I didn’t really care about getting a picture with Sanchez or Bremer, but when the division’s senior intelligence officer asks you to go, you go.
” We were seated in the chow hall, fully decorated for Thanksgiving when all kinds of Secret Service guys showed up. That was my first clue, because Bremer’s been here before and his personal security detachment is not that big. Bremer thanked us all and pulled out a piece of paper as if to give a speech. He mentioned that the President had given him this Thanksgiving speech to give to the troops. He then paused and said that the senior man present should be the one to give it. He then looked at Sanchez, who just smiled.

“Bremer then said that we should probably get someone more senior to read the speech. Then, from behind the camouflage netting, the President came around. The mess hall erupted with hollering. Troops bounded to their feet with shocked smiles and began cheering with all their hearts. The building actually shook. It was just unreal. I was absolutely stunned. Not only for the obvious, but also because I was only two tables away from the podium. There he stood, less than thirty feet away from me! The cheering went on and on and on.”

Those who have been in the military, especially during war, and their families, know more than anyone just how important encouraging our troops is. When they speak we should listen.

Today we have an all volunteer army, and soldiers know when they sign up that it means they may have to go to war. They understand that’s what the military is for, to protect and to fight, if necessary. Yet for some reason, the anti-war folks don’t get it. They talk about our troops as though they are victims. They are not victims. They are trained, brave men and women doing what the military does.

As President Bush said to the troops when he was in Iraq, “Each one of you has answered a great call, participating in an historic moment in world history. You live by a code of honor, of service to your nation, with the safety and the security of your fellow citizens. Our military is full of the finest people on the face of the earth. I’m proud to be your Commander-in-Chief.”

Three months after my husband, Duane, and I were married he was drafted. Then after boot camp and NCO (non-commissioned offier) school he was sent to Vietnam. Our second Thanksgiving as a couple Duane spent in the jungles half way around the world from our dinner table.

What was it like for our troops then? Just off of a 6-day mission, living on C-rations, Duane’s company made their way to a landing area where helicopters could come in and drop off hot food. It was especially welcomed, because it was Thanksgiving. Duane said while it didn’t compare to home cooking (for instance, the milk they had was irradiated so that it would stay unrefrigerated for two weeks) they were grateful…grateful to be alive, healthy, and having just gone through some battles, they were grateful they were not in the midst of fire fights on Thanksgiving Day

I asked Duane what was the atmosphere like as the troops were eating. He said it was quiet. Everyone was thinking about home.

A few days later I had a wonderful surprise. Our local town newspaper, the Pacifica Tribune, had an article about how our troops spent Thanksgiving. On the front page, the featured story had a picture of our men eating a turkey meal in the jungles of Vietnam, and the soldier in the middle of the picture — was Duane. I couldn’t believe it! Was it a good Thanksgiving for me that year? You bet it was.

Life and death issues have a way of putting things into perspective. You find yourself grateful for the smallest things, the most important things…the things that really matter.

We may be going on with our lives and blessed to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner here at home, even the poorest amongst us will be safe and warm enjoying Thanksgiving at soup kitchens across our land, but a war in Iraq and one in Afghanistan find our soldiers far from home again this year. That’s why I regularly emphasize on my radio show to support our troops in any way we can, to send a little bit of home to them, especially during the holidays.

Below are a few ways you can show your support and thank a soldier this holiday season. I hope you’ll put your appreciation, that I know you have, for our troops into action. It can make all the difference in the world to a young soldier fighting overseas.

Alot has happened since President George W. Bush first took office, not the least of which was the terrorist attack of 9-11 on our soil, and the resultant war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq. War, especially if it is prolonged, never makes a president, any president, popular. No president wants his nation to be at war, or to be the one who sends troops into war, but many have had to do so, including our first president, George Washington, and one of our most beloved presidents, Abraham Lincoln. Unfortunately, war has been a part of the history of many American presidents.

Liberal or conservative, fan of President Bush or not, as his second and last term winds down, and Barack Obama gets ready to take office, one thing all Americans should be grateful for this Thanksgiving is that under Pres. Bush’s watch, our nation has not experienced another terrorist attack on our soil since September 11, 2001. I know I am thankful for this part of the legacy he leaves behind.

IS THERE A “CIVIL RIGHT” TO GAY “MARRIAGE”?

As gay protests to the passage of Proposition 8 take place in cities across the nation today, it is important that we know the facts. How do we respond truthfully to the statements that are being made?

“I have the right to marry the one I love!”

If that is the case, then shouldn’t Patrick and Susan S. be allowed to marry in Germany? He was adopted as a child and didn’t know he had a sister until she was 16 and he was 23. He has served a prison sentence because of his love for his sister. They have had four children together and do not want to be separated. Why should the government intervene? Patrick says, “We are like normal lovers. We want to have a family.” Susan states, “I just want to live with my family, and be left alone by the authorities and by the courts.” Their attorney argues that the law against a brother and sister marrying “is out of date and it breaches the couple’s civil rights.” Does this sound familiar? If gays should have the “civil right” to marry the ones they love, why not a blood brother and sister, separated as children and reunited later in life?

“It is an outright lie to claim that legalizing same-sex marriages will affect what children are taught in the schools.”

U.S. District Court Judge Mark L. Wolf ruled against the Parkers and Wirthlins who had requested that their children be removed from elementary school classes when homosexuality and transgenderism were being promoted. Judge Wolf argued that teaching diversity in sexual orientation was “reasonably related to the goals of preparing students to become engaged and productive citizens in our democracy” and trumped both parental rights and their sincerely held religious beliefs. And, since same-sex marriage was legal in Massachusetts, where the Parkers and Wirthlins reside, on what basis could they ask for their children to be removed from class? Based on this ruling, the superintendent of schools in Lexington, MA, recently explained to a concerned parent that, “The court decided we are not required to inform parents in advance of teaching units that include same gender parents or required to release students when such topics are discussed.”

“This is a civil rights issue no different than segregation. We are born this way and we cannot change.”

Many black Americans are offended by this analogy and do not feel it is fair to compare the color of one’s skin with the sexual relations one chooses in private. Also, there is no such thing as “ex-black” whereas many people claim to be “ex-gay,” and recent scientific studies have confirmed that some homosexuals can, in fact, change, while other studies point to a large degree of sexual fluidity, especially among women. Even if you reject the possibility of change, however, and claim that homosexuality is inborn and immutable, how does that relate to civil rights? All of us reject pedophilia for many reasons, yet pedophiles claim that they were born that way, that they would never choose such a sexual orientation, and that they cannot change. Do we then grant them the “civil right” to their behavior because it is inborn and immutable? Or do we lower the age of consent to accommodate ephebophiles who are attracted only to young teenagers (and who also claim their orientation is inborn and immutable)? Why discriminate against them if our behavior and orientation can be justified based on being inborn and immutable?

“Children raised in same-sex households are no different than children raised in heterosexual households.”

A meta-analytical study by pro-gay researchers Stacy and Biblarz indicated that children raised in same-sex households were more prone to promiscuity, crossing gender lines, and same-sex attraction. To cite one example, they found that lesbian mothers had a feminizing effect on their sons and a masculinizing effect on their daughters. They also reported that “the adolescent and young adult girls raised by lesbian mothers appear to have been more sexually adventurous and less chaste . . . in other words, once again, children (especially girls) raised by lesbians appear to depart from traditional gender-based norms, while children raised by heterosexual mothers appear to conform to them.” On a more personal note, Dawn Stefanowicz, raised by a gay father, wrote, “What makes it so hard for a girl to grow up with a gay father is that she never gets to see him loving, honoring, or protecting the women in his life.” Children do best with a mom and dad, but same-sex marriages guarantee that this possibility will never exist for children they raise.

“In the past, the Bible was used in America to promote slavery, segregation, and the suppression of women, just as it is now being used to suppress gays and lesbians.”

It is true that the Bible was misused to promote slavery, segregation, and the suppression of women, but it was actually the proper use of the Scriptures that fueled the anti-slavery and anti-segregation movements, while there are numerous verses in the Bible that speak in glowing terms of the importance of women. In fact, anthropologist Rodney Stark pointed out that one reason that Christianity spread so rapidly in the ancient world was because it was so egalitarian and so liberating for women. In contrast, there is not a single verse in the Bible that extols homosexual behavior, to the point that even the gay-affirming biblical scholar Walter Wink noted that, “The Bible is negative toward same-sex behavior, and there is no getting around it. “ He also stated that “Paul wouldn’t accept [a nonexploitative homosexual] relationship for a minute.”

“Giving us the right to marry would not affect the rights of those who differ with us, especially the rights of people of faith.”

The Washington Blade (May 30, 2008) asked, “Apart from state- or federally funded religious programs, could the legalization of same-sex marriage in California prevent priests and ministers from preaching that homosexuality is biblically forbidden? Could churches in time risk their tax- exempt status by refusing to marry gays? That remains to be seen and will likely result in a steady stream of court battles” (my emphasis). Catholic Charities in Boston dropped out of the adoption business because they were required by the state to place children in same-sex households; Elaine Photography in New Mexico was found guilty of discrimination for refusing to photograph a same-sex commitment ceremony because of religious convictions; and a doctor in California was found guilty of refusing to artificially inseminate a lesbian woman so she and her partner could have a baby, again because of religious convictions, and despite the fact that this doctor personally referred the patient to another doctor. As predicted by lesbian legal scholar Chai Feldblum, when religious liberty and sexual liberty conflict, “I’m having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win.” A just-released study by The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty has also found that over 350 separate state anti-discrimination laws would likely be affected by the legal recognition of same-sex “marriage.”

“It is a lie of the religious right that legalizing same-sex marriage will open the door to legalizing polygamy and incestuous relationships.”

Actually, polygamy involves a far less radical redefinition of marriage than does same-sex marriage, since marriage is fundamentally the union of a man and a woman more than it is the union of two people. Polygamy is also legal in much of the world and has been the accepted norm in many cultures throughout history, whereas same-sex marriage has never been the norm in any nation at any time in the past. Because same-sex marriage so radically redefines the nature of marriage, marriage certificates were changed in California after the Supreme Court’s decision in May to refer to “Partner A” and “Partner B” rather than bride and groom, while birth certificates in Spain now refer to “Progenitor A” and “Progenitor B” as opposed to Mother and Father. It should also be noted that pro-incest and pro-polygamy cases currently before courts in the USA and abroad are pointing to same-sex marriage rulings for support.

“There is a constitutional right to same-sex marriage.”

The California Supreme Court, by a four-three vote, recently claimed to discover such a constitutional argument, claiming that everyone has a basic right “to establish a legally recognized family with the person of one’s choice,” yet there is not a single sentence in the Constitution that can be fairly construed to support this “right” for same-sex couples. Moreover, following the Court’s logic, there is no basis for refusing the “right” of two gay brothers to marry and “establish a legally recognized family,” and it is with good reason that justice Marvin Baxter wrote in his dissenting opinion, “I cannot join this exercise in legal jujitsu, by which the Legislature’s own weight is used against it to create a constitutional right from whole cloth, defeat the People’s will, and invalidate a statute otherwise immune from legislative interference.”

The bottom line is that this is not an issue of civil rights or constitutional rights; rather, it is an issue of right and wrong, and it is dangerously wrong to tamper with the historic and sacred institution of marriage, one that exists for the benefit of the family and the state, and one that forms the bedrock of human society. We do well not to tamper with our foundations! It is also a well-known fact that many gay activists have promoted same-sex marriage for years, knowing that it would be a major stepping stone for the complete normalization of homosexuality in society. The implications of this are enormous, and while we should have compassion for those who sincerely desire the “right” to same-sex marriage, we dare not alter the foundations of human society.

Finally, it is utterly hypocritical for gays and lesbians to call for tolerance, diversity, and inclusion and then to label as “hate-filled bigots” all sincere people of faith (or non-faith) who oppose same-sex marriage on religious or moral grounds. Where is the tolerance, diversity, and inclusion? Why is the democratic process not enough? Could it be that those who espouse “tolerance” have the potential of being the most intolerant? Could it be that those speaking against “hate” are actually engaging in it?

It is no surprise, then, that today, as I write these words, protesters at a rally in Sacramento, California are holding up signs with slogans such as: Prop 8=American Taliban; Ban Bigots; Majority Vote Doesn’t Matter; We Won’t Go Away; 52%=Nazi; Don’t Silence the Christians, Feed Them 2 the Lions, and lastly, Your Rights are Next. We have been forewarned!

Those of us who claim to be followers of Jesus should adhere to the biblical injunction to overcome hatred with love and to conquer evil with good, reaching out to those who oppose us, sharing with them the message of forgiveness and transformation through the gospel, and standing firmly on our convictions, knowing that God’s ways are best.

We shall not be moved!

Persecution has escalated recently and threatens the existence of Iraq’s non-Muslim minorities now more than ever. More than 15,000 Iraqi Christians have been forced by Islamic terrorists to flee Mosul for refuge in neighboring states in October. Many of those who remain in Iraq are internally displaced. The response of the American government and the Iraqi authorities has been grossly inadequate. But we will continue to speak out on behalf of the victims and provide emergency food aid.

In case you’re not aware yet, there is a movement going across America concerning how much the homosexual activists are mad that 52% of us Californians who passed the Yes on 8 proposition.

We won, fair and square and instead of being gracious citizens of the state and our country, the homosexual movement is angrier and more militant than ever. I have posted the graphic to their movement site, so you can go and see where they will be protesting next.

I plan on attending the protests nearer to me, if time permits. And I hope that if you’re someone who voted YES on 8 that you will also take a stand and do a counter protest where they will be protesting YOUR VOTE.

A number of years ago my husband and I received a package from someone who had been threatening to destroy our marriage. We had received counsel to have a restraining order placed against this person and so when this package arrived at our home, we were both extremely suspicious of the contents. I remember my husband taking the package outside and telling me to stay far away as he opened it. Thankfully, the contents of the package were not a bomb, but we had our suspicions.

So as I read this story today at WorldNetDaily I couldn’t help but think of that experience I had years ago. Unfortunately, in this case, there was a bomb and it did explode.

Christian missionary Gary Stevenson thought the pink, gift-wrapped bag he found on his doorstep was a present left for one of his toddler daughters, but when he brought it inside his home, the bomb within the bag exploded.

Stevenson suffered multiple lacerations and burns, deep cuts on his head and chest, and underwent surgery to remove shrapnel from his liver. But he is expected to make a full recovery.

I know quite a few Veterans and of course I like to remember them on a day when we all SHOULD be remembering their sacrifice. I have uncles and friends and my dad and step dad and friends at church and even pastors I know who all served in the United States military.

And I am thankful, that I still live in the most free place on earth. May the Lord of heaven and earth bless all of those who serve and have served!

JURIST] Advisers to US President-elect Barack Obama [official website] have begun working on a plan to hold criminal trials in US courts for a large number of Guantanamo Bay [JURIST news archive] detainees, according to a Monday report [text] by the Associated Press. Under the plan, which would also entail the end of Guantanamo-based military commissions [JURIST news archive], the majority of detainees would either be released or brought to the US to face criminal charges. Cases that involve the use of particularly sensitive evidence would be tried in special courts designed to protect the information. The plan has already faced criticism from those who either argue that the detainees should not be brought into the country at all, or that they should all be tried in traditional criminal courts. Meanwhile Monday, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) [advocacy site] began an ad campaign [PDF image] and started a petition [advocacy website] calling on Obama to close the prison [press release] and end the use of military tribunals on his very first day in office. In the wake of Sunday comments by Obama transition chief John Podesta on using executive authority [JURIST report] to ensure early reversal of various contentious Bush administration policies, the ACLU also called on him to issue an executive order banning the use of torture during interrogations.

If carried out, it is not clear what effect the plan will have on previous convictions of detainees by the military commissions or the habeas corpus petitions others now have before federal district courts [JURIST reports]. Last week, a judge for the US District Court for the District of Columbia [official website] began [JURIST report] habeas hearings for six Algerians challenging their detention at Guantanamo Bay. The US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit [official website] recently suspended its review of a detainee’s case because it held it may lack jurisdiction [JURIST report] over the case.

REGARDING
U.S. TREASURY’S EFFORTS TO PROMOTE SEDITIOUS ‘ISLAMIC FINANCE’
We are Americans opposed to the “stealth jihad” being waged in this country by those who promote Shariah - authoritative Islam’s theo-political-religious program for establishing a global theocracy. As such, Shariah and its espousal of violent and stealthy jihad constitute sedition. We are determined to resist efforts now underway to create “parallel” Muslim societies and otherwise to insinuate Shariah into this country via its mosques, prisons, campuses, media, government and financial institutions.

Of particular concern is the progress being made to establish Shariah-Compliant Finance (SCF) within Western, and most recently, U.S. banks and other institutions that trade securities. Islamic finance’s leading Shariah authorities have made plain that they consider SCF to be “jihad with money,” “financial jihad” and a means of promoting their objective of destroying the West’s economic system and replacing it with an Islamic one.

Incredibly, in recent days, the U.S. Treasury Department has begun embracing Shariah-Compliant Finance. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Robert Kimmitt has professed an interest in “studying the salient features of Islamic banking to ascertain how far it could be useful in fighting the ongoing world economic crisis.” According to a press report out of Saudi Arabia, he has declared that “experts in the Treasury Department are currently learning the important features of Islamic banking.”

On a blog I’ve never heard of called That Is So Queer I was basically mentioned as a Christian Right blogger who is monitoring gay blogs for violent comments. Which actually is only partly true. I am a Christian right blogger, but I am not monitoring any gay blogs for violent content. I only reported what Matt Barber reported regarding that, and passed it on.

Another very popular blogger by the name of Joe at his blog Joe.My.God also linked to this site, citing that I’m monitoring him also. Which again, isn’t true, but he cites Matt’s column that I passed on. He also asks his commenters to be careful with their commentary.

However, I should say that I do enjoy Joe.My.God’s blog because he is actually a good writer and he’s someone I consider relatively fair when he writes about these issues. He could easily be more inflammatory, but he isn’t. He’s on top of good issues and a better gay blogger than others I’ve linked to in the past. For what that’s worth to anyone!

In an article in the LA Times he makes the following comments.

Reporting from Sacramento and Lake Forest — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Sunday expressed hope that the California Supreme Court would overturn Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that outlawed same-sex marriage. He also predicted that the 18,000 gay and lesbian couples who have already wed would not see their marriages nullified by the initiative.

“It’s unfortunate, obviously, but it’s not the end,” Schwarzenegger said in an interview Sunday on CNN. “I think that we will again maybe undo that, if the court is willing to do that, and then move forward from there and again lead in that area.”

I decided to attend a NARTH convention so that I could see exactly what they were all about, because the only thing I had read about them was from anti-Christian activists who oppose the idea that homosexuals can change.

Needless to say, my eyes were opened widely during the conference as I listened to distinguished speaker after distinguished speaker. Some of the speakers were a little boring to me, and some of the material was dry as they discussed current research, but overall I was encouraged by the number of people who attended the conference.

I met some very cool people, from parents who have children with same sex attraction, to religious leaders from the Catholic, Mormon and Jewish faiths, to world renowned clinical experts including Dr. Joseph Nicolosi who I had the privilege of not only talking to, but also sitting in on some group clinical supervision. He really has a great grasp on treatment of persons who struggle with same sex attraction.

The highlight of my time at the conference though, was sitting in on a lecture by Janelle Hallman who wrote the new book The Heart of Female Same-Sex Attraction
because she has treated women who struggle with same sex attraction for over twenty years.
Her presentation was extremely powerful and I learned a lot.

Next years NARTH convention will be in Florida, and I look forward to attending again.

Despite the celebrities like Ellen and others who gave a lot of their money to the campaign, and despite the nasty politics that went on, and despite all the vandalism towards Yes on Prop 8 supporters, and sadly, even in some cases, the violence towards Yes on 8 supporters - despite all of that - the majority of Californians still define marriage as one man and one woman.

And yet, sadly, the gay activist crowd can’t be gracious losers. In fact, they are doing the exact opposite per their playbook. If they can’t win fairly, they then resort to bullying and intimidation tactics, and protests and public whining, and lawsuits.

So is it any surprise that tonight they are going to protest in the City of West Hollywood. Not to this observer.

It it any surprise that they have now filed a lawsuit in order to “stop prop 8 hate”. Again no.

This is very sad.

“Gays” Call for Violence Against Christian Supporters of Prop 8

Lynchburg, VA – In a stunning reaction to the passage of state constitutional marriage protection amendments in California, Arizona and Florida, several self identified homosexuals on a number of homosexual blogs are advocating violence against Christians and other supporters of traditional marriage. Additionally, some homosexuals are calling for church burnings in response to yesterday’s three state referenda in defense of natural marriage.

In a blog entry titled “You’ll Want to Punch them” on Queerty.com, poster “BillyBob Thornton” wrote, “… I have never considered being a violent radical extremist for our Equal Rights, But now I think maybe I should consider becoming one.” “Stenar” asked, “Can someone in CA please go burn down the Mormon temples there, PLEASE. I mean seriously. DO IT.” “Angelo Ventura,” said, “… hope they all rot in hell, those servants of a lying, corrupt devil!

BAN RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM!” And, “Jonathan,” warned, “I’m going to give them something to be f – ing scared of. … I’m a radical who is now on a mission to make them all pay for what they’ve done.”

Meanwhile, over at JoeMyGod.blogspot.com, “World O Jeff,” said, “Burn their f–ing churches to the ground, and then tax the charred timbers.” While, “Tread,” wrote, “I hope the No on 8 people have a long list and long knives.” “Joe,” stated, “I swear, I’d murder people with my bare hands this morning.”

And on the Americablog.com Web site, “scottinsf” posted, “Trust me. I’ve got a big list of names of mormons and catholics that were big supporters of Prop 8. … As far as mormons and catholics … I warn them to watch their backs.”

Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs with both Liberty Alliance Action and Liberty Counsel, said, “This is not just a matter of some people blowing off steam because they’re not happy with a political outcome. This is criminal activity. The homosexual lobby is always calling for ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity’ and playing the role of victim. They claim to deplore violence and ‘hate.’ Here we have homosexuals inciting, and directly threatening, violence against Christians. This is not free speech; these are ‘hate crimes’ under the existing definition. Imagine if Christian Web sites were advocating such violence against homosexuals. There’d be outrage, and rightfully so. It’d be national front-page news. Federal authorities should immediately investigate these threats and prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law. I also call on the Human Rights Campaign, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and other leaders within the homosexual lobby to immediately call for an end to these homosexual threats of violence against Christians.”

And bad news for the gay activists, it appears that all three bans on gay marriage have passed in Florida, Arizona and Califorinia (things may change, but as it appears now, they all passed)

So, it looks like we have great gay marriage bans and yet we’ve also elected a man who will advocate the murder of babies born after birth, defunding our troops, who hangs with terrorists as his close buddies, and hates Israel. Nice. (she says sarcastically)

And here’s a warning to the real Church that follows Christ, now that we have our first Muslim President, be prepared for persecution to come your way. Mark my words, this is the beginning of the end of your religious freedom as we know it.

The funny part is that two of my friends saw him put the note on my car and so they are the ones who took the picture. I was inside praying with some friends and so I didn’t see the man who put the sign on my car.

The other thing that is funny - in a sad way - is that I was parked where our church can park cars, it’s in the churches contract with the owner of the building. The No on 8 supporter didn’t like LOOKING at my bumperstickers.

But I thought you’d like to see yet another bullying tactic from the tolerant No on 8 supporters.

Vote Yes tomorrow.

I wasn’t surprised that some intolerant person decided to come on my property and vandalize my sign, therefore violating my right to free speech, because so many of my friends have had the same thing happen.

Today I had a friend of mine, who is in her 70’s, share with me that she saw some boys in the back of a truck, drive by her house slowly, jump out of the back of the truck, run up on her lawn and take her sign right in front of her!! She told me she asked them to put it back, but all these guys did was laugh and drive off. (Incidentally, I also had given her that sign)

Another one of my friends has had 3 of her Yes on 8 signs ripped off from her lawn.

My pastor’s wife shared with me that Yes on 8 signs have been stolen from her street and the story goes on.

Last Sunday when I was apart of the Yes on 8 rally that was at Eastside Christian Church, the leaders of Prop 8 blessed me with one of their two, 8 feet by 4 feet signs. So my precious husband built a nice sturdy stand and it’s been on my roof all week.

And tomorrow we will be taking that big huge sign to another rally and letting the world know that we would like them to Vote Yes on 8 because it is the right thing to do.

When lesbian love goes wrong it can be deadly, as in the tragic case of lesbians Carol Anne Burger and Jessica Kalish.

Here’s what we know about lesbian domestic violence. According to a fact sheet on lesbian domestic violence put together by Dr. Susana Rose, “About 17-45% of lesbians report having been the victim of a least one act of physical violence perpetrated by a lesbian partner (1,5,6,13)”.

Some of the myths and facts surrounding the issue of lesbian violence include:

Myth: Abuse between lesbians is mutual. Both partners contribute equally to the violence.

Fact: This myths assumes that lesbian relationships are always equal partnerships. In violent relationships, there is often a perpetrator and a victim. A perpetrator cannot be distinguished by any features such as size, height, or age. Defending oneself against an attacker must be examined closely as it may be mistakenly construed either as initiating or equally contributing to abuse.

According to Lambda Legal there are also significant differences between heterosexual domestic violence and homosexual domestic violence.

Several important aspects of lesbian, bisexual, and gay relationships mean domestic violence is often experienced differently:

In same-sex abuse, a pattern of violence or behaviors exists where one seeks to control the thoughts, beliefs, or conduct of their intimate partner, or to punish their partner for resisting their control. This may been seen as physical or sexual violence, or emotional and verbal abuse. An additional form of emotional abuse for someone who is gay, lesbian, or bisexual may be to “out” them at work or to family or friends.

Consequently, in the case of Carol Anne Burger, who wrote for the Huffington Post, and her former “wife” Jessica Kalish, who were also both 57 years old, domestic violence led to the unfortunate death of Kalish and the suicide of Burger.

Here’s what we know based on numerous news reports.

Carol Anne Burger stabbed Jessica Kalish at least 222 times with a Phillipshead screwdriver, leading to her death.

Police are calling this a “crime of passion”.

Burger and Kalish were married in 2005 and separated for at least one year.

Carol Anne Burger was said to be depressed about the break up but refused to take antidepressants.

Kalish apparently was involved in numerous online relationships.

Burger tried to cover up her crime.

Now according to The Liberal OC blog, they are claiming that there were more NO on 8 Supporters, but that simply isn’t true. But you can read their coverage here. What is true is that there were more No supporters on the street picketing, because the majority of the Yes on 8 supporters were at the rally, which was in Eastside’s parking lot.

My husband and I were able to have a few very cordial conversations with people on both sides of the issue and we had a great time. I also spoke to a peace officer and he was thankful that there were no problems with the rally.

I felt both sides were respectful towards the other, and if anything negative happened on either side, I didn’t hear about it.

Parents at a K-8 charter school in Hayward were shocked to learn this week the extent to which their school is promoting gay and lesbian ideals to their daughter in kindergarten.

The parents were shocked to see a poster announcing that “Coming Out Day” will be celebrated at the school this coming Thursday, October 23. The school, Faith Ringgold School of Art and Science, chose not to tell parents ahead of time, but it is in the midst of celebrating “Ally Week,” a pro-homosexual push typically aimed at high school students. When one mother asked her daughter earlier this week what she was learning in kindergarten at the school, the 5-year-old replied, “We’re learning to be allies.” The mother also learned that her daughter’s kindergarten classroom is regularly used during lunchtime for meetings of a Gay Straight Alliance club.

Later this week, the school is slated to talk about families. The parents have noticed several posters promoting families, all of which depict only homosexual families. More controversial discussions can be expected through next week, as the elementary school continues to celebrate Gay and Lesbian History Month. On November 20, the school will host TransAction Gender-Bender Read-Aloud, where students will hear adapted tales such as “Jane and the Beanstalk.”

These parents are being advised by attorneys from Pacific Justice Institute. Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, commented, “Do we need any further proof that gay activists will target children as early as possible? Opponents of traditional marriage keep telling us that Prop. 8 has nothing to do with education. In reality, they want to push the gay lifestyle on kindergartners, and we can only imagine how much worse it will be if Prop. 8 is defeated. This is not a scenario most Californians want replayed in their elementary schools.”

Any other parents whose elementary-age children have been subjected to pro-homosexual propaganda should contact Pacific Justice Institute for counsel and possible representation.

I decided to do some research to find out what we could learn about Mara since she was so passionate about stating her beliefs that this pro-prop-8 family were bigots. Turns out that at the time of this posting, Mara (or someone) has taken her website offline and also according to some other news reports she isn’t available for comment.

I did find a very interesting article however, that she wrote in 2003 titled I Am Bipolar by Mara McWilliams. Here are a few passages that I thought might help explain to you her behavior.

I have lived with this illness all of my life. I can look back at my childhood now and see the waves so high, then crashing down so low. I have lived with awareness of my illness for 14 years. Those 14 years were some of the most difficult times in my life. There definitely were times where I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. Death was literally right outside my door, waiting for me, urging me to take the FINAL plunge. The realization that my brain chemistry really is different than the majority of people did not sit well with me. I fought that fact for years.

I viewed my illness as a personal weakness. It has only been over the past few years that I have discovered the unique beauty of this illness. It was then that I decided to share my art and poetry with the world, hoping above all hopes that one person would be able to relate, and it would help them. The goal: share the beauty of our illness with society, so maybe we can come together and build a bridge of health. As a society, we need to focus on the beautiful unique differences between us, rather than continually be fearful of other’s differences and view them as a threat to one’s stability or safety.

She goes on to say,

It too often seems in the movies and on TV, or in the news that when a bipolar individual is mentioned it has to do with some negative activity done by the bipolar person. Well, where are the stories about the bipolar people who are MAKING IT? I know where I am at: I’m riding that daily bipolar roller coaster, sticking my arms up in the air, enjoying the ride because it only lasts so long and when I get off, I am willing and ready to love and teach.

And we do know that moving her vehicle in front of a Yes on 8 house and painting on her car Bigots Live here” she probably doesn’t consider “negative” behavior.

And she continues…

If I feel anger, I can paint the anger onto the canvas, using whatever colors feel angry at that moment. I firmly believe that art therapy, journal-ing, any form of self-expression is key in the recovery process. All feelings must find a way to be vented, especially for an individual with a mental illness. It is much easier to find ways to vent happy emotions. But when the intense negativity rolls in and begins to engulf one’s life, the afflicted MUST find a constructive way to release those emotions or the individual could end up in a suicidal depression.

I’m guessing her canvas in this case was her car.

She was also diagnosed Major Recurrent Depression and Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as being Bi Polar. This is a very serious diagnosis and very difficult to recover from. It usually takes many years of therapy, being consistent and remaining faithful to taking ones medication. We have no idea at this time if Mara is taking her medication.

Some of her poetry also reveals that she was a self mutilator, formerly drug addicted, self described Pagan, anorexic, delusional, rape survivor, abuse survivor, lonely and so much more.

This woman is in some serious pain, and even though I do not agree with her egregious behavior or political tactics, understanding that she is mentally ill and is and/or has dealt with so many traumatic issues, gives me some compassion for her.

My hope and prayer is that she will eventually find peace through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And next time, simply stick to painting her feelings on some canvas and not her vehicle.

In response to having lawn signs stolen on a regular basis in our area, we decided to display our position on Prop 8 with a large banner.

This afternoon a couple of women pulled up in front of our home and started painting on the windows of their car. I guess they disagreed with us.

As they were painting these messages, my husband came out and asked them if they would like to have a conversation. The “conversation” consisted of them calling us bigots, promoters of hate & prejudice, parents who didn’t protect their children and un-Christian (this last comment causing my 11 year old son to cry because he IS a Christian and is so very proud of it!) My husband and children tried to engage in conversation to share our concerns and point of view and were met with increased intensity and anger. Their entire message was that we were closed-minded, motivated by hate and prejudice. In the end, we left them to their project…knowing that sharing and trying to understand one another’s point of view was NOT something they were interested in.

Here’s what we were left with in front of our home. By the way…we live across the street from a kindergarten playground…what a nice thing the kids will be able to see at recess and as they walk to and from home.

Now for the good news…since this happened this afternoon we’ve had all kinds of people drive by taking pictures, talking with us and expressing support. In fact, a wonderful family from our school stopped by to tell us how sorry they were. They are voting No on 8 and long ago we decided that we would be that balancing force for each other in the universe. I was impressed by the way they went out of their way to make sure all was well with us and to let us know that they supported us even though we disgree on this issue. THIS is the American way… I wish this whole election process would be designed to promote these types of feelings among neighbors instead of the hate and intolerance that seems to be becoming such a prevalent part of our daily lives.

Well, that’s what’s happening at our house this weekend. Hope all is well with you and…don’t forget to VOTE!!!

Again…who are the intolerant bigots in this case, and believe me, the OC Register is not as conservative as you may think, so if there was indeed this rash of No on 8 signs being vandalized, you can sure bet it would be covered. But it’s not.

It is classic modus operandi of the gay activists to not only use such words as “bigots”, “haters”, “intolerant” etc, and it is indeed that side doing the majority of the vandalism.

Even as I have read through gay blogs and news sites, there are not any that show the same things being said and written on No on 8 signs.

This is a classic intimidation tactic of the liberal looney left. Because believe me, if it was happening to the NO on 8 signs, it would be all over the gay blogs - and it isn’t.

Meanwhile, we have this news story that you can see, which shows the truth about the vandalism against Yes on Prop 8 signs and yet, once again, we see nothing about those No on 8 signs being vandalized. (And it’s because, in this writers opinion - it’s not happening)

What I’d like to point out here is the following:

1. The very fact that Yes on 8 supporters have to guard their signs is evidence they are being vandalized.

2. The writer of this blog entry assumes he can read the Yes on 8 supporters minds….make sure you notice his assumptions.

But then this is the kicker - Here’s the paragraph you need to read…

“And as I was preparing to get back on the road, a car pulled up. A teen boy, about 15 or 16, popped out and quickly destroyed two signs. The woman, forgetting me, shouted at him and called on her partner across the street for help. I’m sure she got the car’s license plate, so to echo Gila’s remarks, don’t destory signs, make a contribution or get some fre No on 8 signs and put them up. Better still, get the vote out. “

Did you see that? A teen boy (read adolescent, not a boy), about 15 or 16, …quickly destroyed two signs.

There ya have it folks. Even right in front of another No on 8 supporter, some teen destroys two Yes on 8 signs. And what did that guy do??? Oh yeah…right….nothing.

To his credit he says in his article not to destroy the signs, but alas, he did nothing when given the chance.

Dan, they were out there on Sat morning at Culver and Bryan holding a rally. I couldn’t help but flip one lady the bird! I have been incensed at seeing the signs in my tract, in my neighborhood park. Emotionally, it really feels like a violation, telling me that I am less than others when I turn into my neighborhood after a long day at work. Technically, what these people are doing is attempting to strip people like me of my constitutional right to equal protection under the law. I have not personally destroyed any signs but I am certainly not sorry when they disappear from my view. Luckily for me, the Santa Ana winds took care of the first batch.

This week’s Los Angeles Business from bizjournals Business Pulse survey asked: How will you vote on Proposition 8?

The voting broke down as follows:

Vote yes, I oppose same-sex marriage — 61 percent
Vote no, I support same-sex marriage — 36 percent
Don’t know/not sure — 3 percent

And just so you know, Prop. 8 actually doesn’t even mention the word homosexual. What it says is that marriage should be defined as one man and one woman. (Remember Prop. 22…it’s that all over again) I just felt the need to point the spin out to you.

Now on to this news story sent to me from a friend. It comes from a letter written to the editor of the Gay Lesbian Times
and it is very telling, especially when it comes to the indoctrination of the youth.

“Today we face a political emergency in the Queer community. The defeat of Proposition 8 by all legal means available is our immediate priority. NOTHING – not even the Presidential election – is more important.”

NOTHING HEH? Apparently. Read on…

Rex Wockner’s article “Polls flip on California marriage, Gays losing now” (October 9) doesn’t mention the scariest aspect of the new polls showing anti-marriage Proposition 8 ahead: the gain of support occurred almost entirely among young voters (ages 18 to 34). Before this poll, marriage equality advocates had always assumed that the youth were on our side; that even if today’s cohort of voters was against same-sex marriage, the bigots would slowly die off and eventually there would be a clear majority on our side as young people, raised in an atmosphere of live-and-let-live acceptance of Queer people, entered voting age and replaced them.

Insert my commentary: I think this is fascinating for a few reasons. First, we all need to remember that since Roe V Wade was passed in 1973, there have been millions of babies killed by women who felt they had no choice. The problem with that is that many of these women were not pro-life and it stands to reason, that as a result, the majority of the people who are now in the 18-34 year old demographic are the offspring of pro-lifers. This means that generally these women are conservative, which then leads me to believe that they also hold traditional values, which means that they believe that marriage is one man and one woman.

Next, the attempt to indoctrinate the youth of this past generation is very clear, all one has to do is look at the fact that the NEA (National Education Association) supports Obama, and the California Teacher’s Association has donated a lot of money to the No on 8 campaign. And according to the CTA’s very own voter guide (PDF) they specifically state that they support the No on 8 Campaign. Here’s what it says…

CTA believes that all people should be allowed equal protections under the law. California’s
Constitution should guarantee the same freedoms and rights to everyone – no one group
should be singled out to be treated diff erently. Prop. 8 mandates one set of rules for gay
and lesbian couples and another set of rules for everyone else. That’s not fair. California laws
should treat everyone equally.

It is also interesting to note that the CTA also supports voting No on Prop 4 which is the amendment that would require parental notification in the event a minor wanted an abortion. (See the connection?) Here’s the part…

Prop. 4 puts the health and safety of California teenagers at risk. Doctors, pediatricians,
nurses and counselors, including the California Medical Association, California Nurses
Association and the California Association of School Counselors oppose Prop. 4 because of
the health risks it poses for teenage girls.

Prop 4 does exactly the opposite of what the CTA is saying. Read the information for yourself at the Yes on 4 campaign’s website.

So despite all of the indoctrination attempts from the homosexual lobby, and despite the fact that they have successfully indoctrinated the education system, the majority of the youth in the state of California have decided to vote YES on 8. These youth believe that marriage is defined as one man and one woman. From my keyboard to God’s ears.

1. After seeing the movie Fireproof with my husband, I bought the new Love Dare book and started reading it. I think it’s a great tool for all couples despite where you are at in your marriages. A few days ago I asked my husband one of the hard questions they recommended and he told me something I needed to work on - I did - and now things are even better than before.

2. I heard about the Thursday Thirteen this time around from Cindy Swanson over at Notes in the Key of Life. Her website is great - be sure to check it out.

3. Speaking of Cindy Swanson, when I was in the youth group over twenty years ago, the wife of the youth pastor I had was named Cindy Swanson. Just goes to show that you may know two people with the same name in your life.
