8/30/10 – Examining Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally & His Mormonism

The following devotion is taken from the book Extreme Devotion, which you may purchase here.

Pastor Roman Abramov and his wife worked diligently for three years to plant a church in Ismailly, Azerbaijan. But within a year of moving to the village, officials arrested them in an attempt to force them out of town.

The church is down to ten members most weeks, but they continue to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Due to pressure from local officials on potential landlords, the Abramovs had trouble renting a house, so they managed to build one in which they could both live and hold meetings according to the law.

When the Abramovs began to hold church meetings in their new home, the regular attendance climbed slowly. Then last December, mullahs (Muslim religious leaders) came to their house and told them that they had no right to hold Christian services.

Pastor Abramov defended his church and invited the mullahs to the services. One accepted the invitation and has since returned. Another mullah accused the Christians of stomping on a copy of the Koran, however, and petitioned the regional government to close the church. Local authorities then started visiting the homes of church members, harassing and questioning them and sentencing some to ten days in prison.

Despite the condemnation and the fear of many parishioners, Pastor Roman prayerfully believes that revival will come. His home remains open to all who would come and attend their meetings.

Some things we wish we could do without. Trials are one of them. Why does life often seem to be one problem after another? Yet the Bible teaches us that life is not supposed to be trouble-free. As children, we would often give up if a task became too hard. We quit in the face of difficulty. As we matured, however, we learned to persevere—to hang in there and see it through. In the same way, as we mature in our faith, we learn the value of perseverance. Are you still immature, becoming easily discouraged and tempted to give up? Tell God you’re ready to “grow up.”

8/27/10 – ACTIVE CHRISTIAN MEDIA BROADCAST: Creation by Design with Steven Kaye

Glenn Beck is a Mormon and not a biblical Christian. As a result, many Christians are being led astray by what he is doing. What I find ironic about this piece done by CBN is that they are focusing on the controversy about the date his event is being held. And sadly, CBN is not exposing the differences in the theology of the LDS church and true biblical Christianity.

So, may I recommend to you, to go and listen to the last 5 shows that Brannon Howse has done this week on his show Worldview Matters. Brannon has done a stellar job of explaining what is really going on behind all of Beck’s activities. Brannon interviews former Mormon and teacher of LDS theology Ed Decker about the significance of even the name of this weekends event – and how Mormon’s really see America.

I will also be interviewing Ed Decker on Tuesday of next week, and at that time we will take apart and explain more about the theology of Mormonism and how it differs from true biblical Christianity.

Last week I had a great talk with veteran journalist Cliff Kincaid from USA Survival and also Accuracy in Media.

Cliff recently spoke at the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality Truth Academy, and he shares with us about the Gay Liberation Front who were there picketing, as well as the Marxist roots of the homosexual agenda and also the Marxist roots of who our illustrious illegal President Obama.

Military Mom Shares Her Music on the Active Christian Media Show

It’s been a few very busy days for us here at ACM behind the scenes. I’m hoping I will have the time later to update you on a few things that we’ve been doing, that I think you may be interested in.

However, let me give you a quick run down of what we have planned this week on the broadcast.

On Tuesday, I am excited to have Tami Weissert as my guest. Tami is the Vice President of Media and Communications at Back to the Bible and also serves as Co-host of the Back to the Bible radio program with Dr. Woodrow Kroll. Tami is also the facilitator for the Powered by 4 Ministry which is one of the coolest ministries I know of.

Then on Wednesday, my guest is Marty Girardier who will join me to discuss how we can organize a food pantry in our church and neighborhood. Marty has written a book called How Shall We Feed Them?, and I think this show will inspire you to become ACTIVE…

Next, on Thursday, I will actually be a guest on Jeremy & Miranda Caverley’s show JMC LIVE and I will tell you more about that when I have the details. And I have pending on my schedule an interview with Paulie Heath to discuss her music ministry.

And on Friday, my scheduled guest is Steven Kaye from Creation by Design who is going to share with us some wonderful, bible based products designed to reach the 6-13 year old demographic with the gospel.

I just came across this news article over at The Christian Post that claims that one of out eight Americans left Christianity and I have to say that I take this with a grain of a salt, especially after having interviewed Dr. Bradley Wright on his book Christians Are Hate-Filled Hypocrites…and Other Lies You’ve Been Told: A Sociologist Shatters Myths From the Secular and Christian Media . The reason why is because Dr. Wright debunked a lot of Barna’s research. So just keep that in mind as you read this story.

According to the Christian Post article the top reasons for leaving Christianity are:

According to the Christian research group, the most common reasons for leaving Christianity included life experiences, such as gaining new knowledge or education; feeling disillusioned with church and religion; feeling the church is hypocritical; having negative experiences in churches; being in disagreement with Christianity about specific issues such as homosexuality, abortion or birth control; feeling the church is too authoritarian; wanting to express their faith outside of church; and searching for a new faith or wanting to experience other religions.

Note, that aside from the biblical truth about sins like homosexuality, abortion etc, no one in this survey claims to have left the church because of Christ Jesus. Here’s my advice, if you are a person who is thinking of leaving the Christian faith – you know, like Anne Rice recently did – focus on Jesus and not the people in His church.

On the other hand, The Christian Post says that people become Christians because…

The top motivations for becoming a Christian, meanwhile, were going through difficult life events; getting older and seeing life differently; wanting to connect with a church and grow spiritually; discovering Christ; or wanting to know what was in the Bible.

Interesting isn’t it? People come to Christ because they have problems, they “discover Christ” and want to know what is in the bible. Now if people who received Christ and claimed that they are Christians, actually kept their focus on Jesus, what was written in His word and not other believers, there would probably be fewer people leaving the church.

But then again, Jesus even told his disciples that not all who come to Him will stay with Him. See the gospel of Mark, chapter 4.

Yesterday, I had one of the most fascinating interviews that I have done on the Active Christian Media show. My guest was Usama Dakdok, who is the founder of The Straight Way of Grace Ministries.

Usama and I discussed how obvious it is to anyone who is looking, that President Obama is a Muslim. Usama Dakdok has a very keen insight to the Muslim world, and especially Islamic law having studied it in college. In our talk Usama discusses all of the things that point to Obama’s choice to follow Islam, as well as how he is inviting the Muslim world to take over America.

Usama Dakdok has also published the very first true English translation of the Qu’ran, because most translations of the Qu’ran are corrupted and take out the verses that talk about killing the infidels – which are Jews and Christians.

Today is Rifqa Bary’s 18th birthday and I think we all need to celebrate with her and say a few more prayers for her. She is still suffering from cervical cancer and also threats from CAIR and other Islamic extremists.

Last night when I saw the headline on Drudge that there was an altercation on Jet Blue, I pretty much dismissed it until I saw that this story had taken on a life of its own all over the Internet.

Then after I read the story, I honestly could not believe how absolutely stupid this whole story is. But what I did find interesting is that the majority of the news outlets that I read, for some reason, failed to identify Steven Slater as a homosexual. I thought that was interesting because if this had been an Evangelical Christian, THAT would’ve been the identifier used and the whole world would be screaming about how evil that guy was.

But here in America, we have a double standard. If a Christian makes a mistake, they are vilified. If a sodomite throws a fit and makes a bum out of himself, all of a sudden he’s a hero. We live in an insane world.

Literally overnight this guy has numerous Facebook pages that were set up to HONOR him. So let me get this straight, an employee of Jet Blue, cusses out a passenger who was being rude, grabs two beers (allegedly) and jumps down the slide off of the plane, he then bolts to a place where he is meeting his sodomite partner, the cops arrest him (and some reports say that happened while he was having sex) and tons of people are calling this guy a HERO?? People have lost their minds, and wigged out, just like Slater has.

Shame on America and all of you who think that this guys behavior is honorable.

Then we also see on his Myspace page that he claims he does not drink. See the graphic, and yet if that’s the case then why did he take a few beers off the plane before he bolted? Hmmm…

The good news in all of this is that he is being charged criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. Besides setting bail, Judge Mary R. O’Donoghue signed two orders of protection: one for Steven Gullian, the captain of the JetBlue flight and another for June Donovan of JetBlue security. Both gave witness statements to the police.

And on Fox News, I find it fascinating that they have Keith Ablow doing some analysis of why the dude had a breakdown. But something is amiss because if Slater graduated around 1990, there is no way he could have been a flight attendant for 28 years, unless he started really young. His MySpace page currently states his age at 38 (which may be wrong given that he says he doesn’t drink and clearly he does), and assuming that is correct, he’d have to have started working when he was ten.

Other reports are saying he had a twenty year career, which is feasible. Regardless, it’s really a stupid move to act so childishly and out of control and throw a career you’ve been in for that long, down the drain.

Another interesting fact from Fox News…

First things first: The psychiatrist meeting Slater in an emergency room or at a court forensic clinic after he was arrested and charged would be wondering whether alcohol or drugs led to his impulsivity. He or she wouldn’t take Slater’s word for it, so blood and urine toxic screens would be ordered. In the majority of cases of violence and of inexplicable and outrageous public meltdowns, alcohol or drugs are at least partly to blame.

Slater lists spirituality and recovery as interests on his Facebook page and references the book “Alcoholics Anonymous, Twelve and Twelve.” He grabbed a beer before popping the plane’s chute and sliding away. (Remember, Omar Thornton who killed nine people in Hartford, Conn., was being disciplined for stealing beer from the distributor where he worked).

And then…

The next question would be whether a mental illness unrelated to substance use might be a factor. Those suffering with bipolar disorder, for example, not only experience depression, but can become manic, showing symptoms including euphoria, grandiosity, irritability, vastly decreased impulse control and fixed and false beliefs called delusions. They can even respond to command auditory hallucinations—voices that insist they carry out certain actions.

Those with schizoaffective disorder can have similar symptoms. And other people suffer with the repeated inability to control their impulses separate and apart from any other condition. ?

It is also the case that some people end up in big trouble based on their personality structure—especially when it qualifies as a personality disorder. Narcissists can respond with overwhelming rage to perceived slights. Those with antisocial personality disorder can have no regard for rules or for the feelings of others

Many homosexuals suffer from mental illness that includes bipolar disorder and depression. This is common, but no excuse for bad behavior.

Ablow ends by saying….

One very bad morning may cost Slater seven years in prison. He has a long road ahead of him. ?

And even I think that seven years in prison is an extreme sentence for this insane lapse in judgement and behavior. However, he does need to be held accountable for his unprofessional behavior, and at the very least lose his job at Jet Blue.

A few days ago my friend Peter Labarbera and a number of other Christians hosted The Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, hosted their first annual Truth Academy, which was designed to teach people how to understand and defeat the sodomite agenda that is running rampant in our culture.

As was expected the radical sodomites, and I do mean that literally, from The Gay Liberation Network, among other groups, came out to protest the event. And they do these protests because they are truly intolerant, and hateful people, as you will see in the video below.

I enjoy nice things like everyone else does, but today I had to give out a verbal laugh when I read the post that Sarah Parshall Perry wrote on her blog Praying for Prada. If you have no clue who Sarah is, let me just tell you that she is the eldest daughter of Craig & Janet Parshall and at the beginning of this year, Janet used her show to promote her daughters blog Praying for Prada. Because as she said on that show, if Dr. Dobson can do a show with his son Ryan, then she can do a show with her daughter Sarah. And while that is all fine and good, and pretty much what happens with the children of “famous” Christians, I personally thought it was a joke that Janet wasted air time to promote her kids blog that had no content…. but as they say in show business… IT’S WHO YOU KNOW BABY…

And generally I have kept my opinions pretty much to myself, up until today, because after reading today’s post, I just HAD to say something.

Sarah’s tagline for her blog is The Case for Fashion in Christendom, and when she was on her mom’s show they made it like it was some great big discovery or something, and yet as I have observed over the last eight months, Sarah Parshall Perry HAS NOT MADE A CASE FOR FASHION IN CHRISTENDOM. And the majority of the callers that called into that show also didn’t agree with the premise of the show either.

I also did invite Sarah on my show to debate me on the subject, because when she was on her mom’s show to talk about it, her mom plugged her and invited invites. But I was dismissed…

Regardless, what prompts this post today is Sarah’s post titled – Sia From Sierre Leone which is a really great post. Sarah shares an amazing testimony of God’s healing of Sia, which blessed me…but then she messed it up by ending the post with “Who says fashion and Christianity don’t mix?” That’s where I had to draw the line, because the fact that the Lord chose to heal Sia is wonderful. It is also wonderful that Sia went to design school and has designed some wonderful fashion – BUT Sarah’s trying to draw the parallel that somehow Sia’s healing and fashion career make a case for Christianity… and my question is HOW?

God heals people in many different professions, and I have never heard of someone else saying that because they were in ______ profession and God healed them, that makes a case for Christianity and _____ to mix.

What if the Lord decided to heal a practicing porn star, would Sarah agree that porn and Christianity mix and make a case for that? I don’t think so. But for some reason, Sarah thinks that she is making a case for fashion in Christianity. The truth is all Sarah does is give fashion tips on her blog, points to sales and once in a blue moon shares some scripture in a post. In eight months she has not made the case for fashion in Christendom.

Now what Sarah has done is provide an entertaining blog to read, and educated me – a person who really could care less if I have anything designer in my closet – and challenged me to think more about “style”. And to be honest, I’ve tried a few new things, BUT, I’m still waiting for the “case” to be made for “Christianity”. That is what bothers me the most about the blog.

Sarah is highly educated and has a law degree like her father, and she is an excellent wordsmith, but I’m waiting for THE CASE to be made.

To be fair, I think Sarah and her mom attempted to make “a case” by talking about stereotypes of Christian women, and “the Church Lady” that Dana Carvey made famous. But even in that, it’s a weak case.

Sarah made a comment on her moms show that when people look at us it gives people an impression of Christianity. I don’t agree. If I’m in a place with tons of people and no one knows me, how are they going to know I’m a Christian – by my tennis shoes? Or the smile and glow on my face because of the radiance of the Holy Spirit? Her point is flawed.

People of all different faiths dress badly, and some dress well. Many Christians dress well and many heathen do too.

Sarah wrote in her “About Page” –

But me? I’m a Christian. I don’t just struggle with finding the money for a new pair of shoes, or fitting into a designer size. I also struggle with questions of stewardship, vanity, egoism, worth and envy – all within the framework of my love for this glittering, mercurial industry.

And on a few occasions Sarah has addressed the issue of stewardship, vanity, worth and envy on the blog. But mostly she posts about sales, and discounts, that even I find outrageous. For example, recently she posted a question to her readers, and no one answered it, or at least none of the comments were posted, about buying a pair of jeans that were originally $400 and were on sale for $45 after all of the discounts. That is a great deal.

But there are other things I find a little too pricey that Sarah thinks are a deal… maybe it’s because I was raised on food stamps with a single mother most of my life. But buying a pair of shoes for $300 I don’t find a deal. And I think it’s insane to own more than 5 pairs of shoes anyway. In fact, I actually own two pairs of shoes. And believe it or not, I only own 2 purses….unlike Sarah and others who for some reason need more than that. I don’t think that I will ever understand why some people have to own more than the basic necessities in life, but hey, it’s me. Probably a result of my mother’s parenting because she had to spread a penny as far as it would go.

So, if you’re someone who enjoys a good deal, and are a diva or a fashion lover like Sarah is, by all means visit Sarah’s blog every day. It’s a fun blog to read, but if you’re seriously thinking there is going to be a “case” made for Christianity and fashion, I’d look someplace else. And the ironic thing to me in all of this is that Sarah is a lawyer, so you’d think she’d actually build a case…. but instead has just built a site where one can obsess about the next fashion discount. I just wish I had whatever disposable income she has to spend on all of those pretty things.

I hope you all join me and The American Family Association in boycotting The Homo Depot because this story is just the tip of their sodomite leanings.

Employee wearing patriotic button is fired. Employees wearing pro-homosexual buttons praised.

The Home Depot fired a employee for refusing to remove a “One nation under God” patriotic button from his work apron. Trevor Keezor, a Christian, said he wore the button to support his country and his 27-year-old brother, who serves in the military in Iraq (story and video here).

Dozens of homosexual employees participated in Home Depot-sponsored gay pride parades and festivals. Many employees wore numerous buttons on their aprons promoting homosexuality. The Home Depot defended them by saying homosexual employees will not be prohibited “in any way” when it comes to what they do and wear. The picture here shows employees who decorated their aprons for a Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in Seattle, Washington.

So…if you wear a “One Nation Under God” button, you will be fired. If you wear a “gay” button, you get company praise.

Click here to go and sign the boycott against Homo Depot. Let your money do the talking since Homo Depot ignores every thing else.

Today Stacy was supposed to have interviewed Mark Lutz about his book UnPoverty, but due to a scheduling conflict, that interview did not take place, but instead we still discussed his book and learned about how to learn from those in poverty and also how to give more. Though he often blames the media for gleefully reporting bad news about devout Christians, he doesnÖt spare evangelical polemicists such as Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel for their false exaggerations of evangelical shortcomings. His biggest target may be the pollster George Barna, whose surveys on Christianity have generated intense controversy. WrightÖs colloquial writing style gives this volume the feel of a folksy college lecture series. The abundant use of graphics adds to the impression the bookÖs genesis was cribbed from introductory sociology of religion classes. The conclusions drawn here–no surprise–are that the most committed Christians practice what they preach, performing better than the rest of the population on a host of social measures including divorce, domestic violence, sexual misconduct, crime, substance abuse, and everyday honesty.

Sodomite Judge Vaugh Walker disregards the will of the people and spits on the Constitution. But I have to say that I’m not surprised because the sodomites have control in government, education, politics and overall society. In fact, you’d have to be a blind bat to think otherwise…either that or an unbiblical “Christian” like Anne Rice is who, praised this wicked decision by sodomite Judge Walker.

Of course we must remember that Anne Rice is not a biblical Christian and recently has “left Christianity” because she doesn’t like the teachings of scripture. Well, actually she didn’t say that, this is what she wrote. Personally, I think it was a ploy to get more publicity…

So what are people saying? Well, as you can imagine, many in the Church are upset, but ya know what, it doesn’t matter because only one in four Christians actually take the time to vote in elections. If the Church – you know the people in the Church who say they are followers of Christ Jesus – would get off their fat rumps, then this situation would be different because who we put in office, influences who becomes a judge.

Meanwhile, some are calling for more “PRAYER AND FASTING” because they believe that’s going to make a difference. The only problem I see with this is call is that it doesn’t matter. The “religious right” has been calling for Prayer and Fasting for decades and it hasn’t done a thing, because THE CHURCH DOES NOT WANT TO REPENT AND TURN FROM HER WICKED WAYS. Too harsh? Too bad, it’s the truth.

And of course the Hollywood sodomites and lesbians are rejoicing about this unjust travesty. Ellen DeGeneres said on her twitter account, “”Equality won!” She later added a link to her personal website, where she deemed the ruling “a huge step forward.” And Ellen’s fake wife, Portia De Rossi, followed with her own happy words: “I am ecstatic that Proposition 8 has been overturned in the state of California,” the actress said. “This is an incredibly exciting and historical day and a big step towards equal rights for all.” (Yeah except for the voters of California who overwhelmingly voted twice that marriage is defined as one man and one woman)

Sodomite bloggers like Jeremy Hooper from the sodomite website “Good as You” said the following in response to Maggie Gallagher…

Sodomite and leatherman activist Joe Jervis is mocking Christians on his Facebook page (and sorry I had to edit out the cursing from some of his friends). But he does have a lot of coverage on his blog Hate Groups React here and Sodomite Groups react here.

Now that it’s been a week since I had surgery, I am happy to say that I am feeling better and gearing up to put the show back on daily. Yesterday I began by asking the question – Should Christians Be Burning the Koran? - since a really unwise pastor in Florida has decided to take it upon himself to burn the koran on 9/11.

In yesterdays show I talk about Acts 19 and how those who followed witchcraft burned their books after they came to Christ. It might be a good idea if that pastor took some time to read his bible.

I also shared some sad news on yesterdays show concerning Rich Buhler, the long running host of Talk from the Heart. The Orange County Register titled it this way – O.C. Christian Radio Personality Buhler Has Tumor. I talk about the influence Rich Buhler has had on me, in the show yesterday.

These Christians in North Korea are amazing. Watch this video, it’s definitely worth it.

There are days that I honestly do not want to get out of bed in the morning, and today was one of those days. But somehow I was able to pull myself out, and record a show today. What I shared on today’s show is personal, direct and hopefully will encourage someone out there in the internet world.

Just know as you listen, that if it was not for the love of Christ, I would not have survived the situation I describe in my testimony. And I can assure you that it is not the love of Christ followers that have brought healing into my life- it is Him and Him alone.

Unfortunately, Christians are pretty well known for shooting their own. And unfortunately, I’ve been the recipient on more than one occasion to be dumped on by pretty well known Christian leaders. Some of you know exactly what I’m talking about, and others of you may eventually find out.

I also share a few news stories in the second half of the show that aren’t very encouraging – one involves a Christian man who decided to have sexual relations with a 14 year old and another involves two homosexuals who were foster parents to a few young boys who molested them. We live in a sick world, and this Christian has absolutely no illusions about it. And I tell you the way it is.

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to talk to the author of the new book Beyond the Rapids by Evelyn Puerto. I LOVE these types of stories because they encourage my faith and so I hope as you listen to the show that your faith in Christ will be strengthened.

Today I have a challenge for you, and I’m hoping you take me up on it.  We now have over 52,000 fans on our Facebook page and we have thousands that hit this page every day too, but our Prisoner Alert page only shows right now that we have only written 945 encouraging letters to Imran Ghafur and only sent 347 letters to government officials on Imran Ghafur’s behalf, so my challenge today is  to ask you to take some time and join those who have written those letters, because we know that YOUR letters and calls make a difference for those who are in prison.

Imran has been in prison now for over a year, and his “crime” was accidentally burning some pages of the Quran, while he was doing his normal work duties.

Imran was also beaten and then arrested and put in prison, and now he is in prison waiting to hear from us and to be delivered so that he may serve the Lord outside the walls of his prison.

Matthew 25:39-40 reminds us, “When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Today I had an interesting conversation with former Congressman and Fox News TV show star, John Kasich. Originally I was supposed to have a 30 minute interview with John about his book Every Other Monday, but at the last minute I was told that I only had 15 minutes with John because he’s on vacation this week and apparently doing a lot of interviews this week. As a result of this I wasn’t able to really do the type of interview that I am used to, and so I share more after my 15 minute interview with John about what I thought of the book.

I will say that if you’re looking for a Christian treatise that is a biblical bible study on Christianity, then this book is NOT for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking to learn more about John Kasich then you may enjoy the book.

I took issue with some of the things I read in the book, because for some reason I thought that it was going to be an apologetic for the Christian faith. The book isn’t that at all. In fact, John Kasich isn’t even aware that Mary Madeline was not a “prosperous prostitute” as he says in his book. That whole prostitute myth was promoted by Pope Gregory who many people believed, as opposed to actually reading the bible. So, as minor as that is, I just wanted you to know.

First, the good news, our friend Jan Markell (pictured with her lovely cat) has recently received a miracle from the Lord, as her pain has subsided and she no longer needs back surgery! Today on her Caring Bridge page you can read the good news for yourself.

A few weeks ago Jan told her audience that she would have to step away from her microphone for awhile because she needed to have surgery, and since then the Lord has touched her, so we REJOICE with her! Woo HOO! God is Great!

Last week I did a show asking the question Is Glenn Beck A Christian, and the gist of my show centers around that question.

In my show I posit that I don’t know if he is or not. Since Beck is apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is also known as The Mormon Church, on the surface it would appear that he does not hold to the biblical view of who Jesus is.

In my show I talk about this and also the possibility that there are real born again Christians who attend the LDS Church. I also believe wholeheartedly that there are real born again Christians in other churches, even though the doctrine or doctrines of that particular church may not be biblical.

Another thing I address on the show is the term “cult” and how it is used by Christians against the LDS church. And rather ironically, after I recorded this show I found on a website called Mormon Cult? the definition I mentioned on the show.

Now if you were to ask me if The LDS Church adheres to biblical doctrine, the answer is NO, absolutely not. So I am certainly not advocating anyone converting to Mormonism or attending the LDS Church.

Show Note: After I recorded this episode of the ACM show, I happened to find this website called Glenn Beck Mormon.com and after viewing all of the videos on this site, I believe, based on this minimal evidence, that Glenn Beck is not a biblical Christian and adheres more to the writings and teachings of Joseph Smith and not Jesus Christ.

I do find it fascinating however, that Beck has surrounded himself with many bible teachers and authors, but very few LDS apologists. Planned deception? Only the Lord knows his heart.

I’d like to encourage you all to check out the Glenn Beck Mormon site and note the information there, and please note that it is run by a member of the LDS Church.

A few years ago when I had the opportunity to go to a VOM persecution conference, I had the blessing of seeing the types of balloons that Greg Yoder over at Mission Network News is reporting on today, that VOM Canada has recently launched into North Korea.

And I remember thinking when I saw the demonstration of how these balloons were launched, I just thought that it was totally cool.  And I think it’s cool because the Lord told his disciples to go out into all the earth and to share the good news.  And so, even in North Korea, where it is not a safe place to be a follower of Christ, we know that there are many Christians in North Korea – and that these gospel tracts being sent into this country will only lead more people to come to faith in Christ. Amen!

Unfortunately, we have to report that another Christian was targeted and successfully murdered in Mosul, Iraq yesterday.

According to Asia News, the victim was Behnam Sabti, a Syrian Orthodox, who worked as a nurse and who was killed when a bomb exploded that was placed under his car.

Sabti was 54 years old, married and has three children.

Will you please keep his widow and children in your prayers, as well as those he worked with at the hospital where he served as a nurse.  Please also pray for wisdom for those who may be searching for those who placed the bomb under his car.  Pray also that the Lord will use this tragedy to strengthen believers, build his Church and lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our dear brother (pictured) was brutally attacked by Muslim extremists because he allegedly “insulted Muhammad” in an exam questionnaire.

According to the police, Prof. TJ
Joseph, was returning with his family from Sunday service when a group
of people in a Maruti Omni van drew up beside him stopping him close to
home. After forcing Joseph to get out of his car, they attacked him with
knives and swords, then cut off his hand and right arm throwing them
away after about 200 meters.

The professor was immediately transported to a hospital in
Muvattupuzha and then to another specialized in surgery, where doctors
are trying to mend his severed hand. The professor has also suffered
deep wounds to his body and is in need of plastic surgery.

Our Lord tells us to love our enemies and to bless those who persecuted us.  Please pray for Professor Joseph today and ask the Lord to bless him, give him love for his persecutors and to heal him of all of his wounds.

“All Muslims should unite and be on guard because … the Christians are up to something,” Mur hali Barda, head of the Bekasi chapter of the hard-line Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), told the Jakarta Globe.

As you may know, persecution and discrimination comes in many forms.  The Irish Sun is reporting that a “fashion show” that is being held in a Christian town in Beit Sahour is angering some Muslims.

The reason it’s angering some Muslims is because of their laws under Sharia that they consider sin.  Here’s a comment from the article.

Palestinian Web sites were flooded with postings following reports of the parade, with writers denouncing the show with comments such as “Wherever there are Christians there’s moral decline” and “Were it not for the presence of Muslims in Palestine, Palestine would have become like Paris. One big brothel.”

On today’s edition of the Active Christian Media show I decided that I would discuss some interesting things I’ve been learning from Matthew 10 regarding how we are to go out into the world, and also how we are to be as disciples of Christ. Jesus said that we should be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. I take some time to share what I found regarding the differences in serpents and pigeons.

Then I venture into the latest news coming out of the world during “Gay Pride Month”. Yeah, we have a lot of yucky news on that front, as well as some reporting that is bent towards getting us to all believe that Prop. 8 should be overturned by the homosexual judge who will rule on the case. Here’s another case of a politically correct administrator going crazy about prayer at graduation, and yet in this case, the “prayer” that was banned wasn’t even a prayer, it was a poem entitled The Graduation Prayer by popular poet and greeting card author, Helen Steiner Rice.  According to The York Dispatch, Aaron Mackley, the Senior Class President wanted to read the Rice poem, but was told they could not because it was a prayer.

Solicitor’s decision: Board solicitor Phil Spare defended his
decision to remove that portion of the speech from the ceremony. Spare
said he wasn’t given the actual text until a few hours before the
ceremony.

“I take full responsibility for this decision,” said Spare. “To embrace
free speech, then you have to take an anything-goes mentality. If the
district doesn’t want to open themselves up to anything that may include
inappropriate or vulgar comments, then it must give its stamp of
approval to each speech. I felt that if we gave the stamp of approval to
this prayer it would violate the law. I stand by that decision.”

What I find particularly interesting in this case is that because this Board solicitor deemed it inappropriate and a violation of free speech, he did it based on his understanding of the law, and not our Constitution.  I also find it telling that this “prayer” did not mention the name of Jesus any place in it, and the only reference to a deity, was the term Father.  And yet this man felt this was inappropriate.

Yesterday I had the great privilege of talking to Jonathan Williams who is the author of a brand new novel called Jungle Sunrise.

Jonathan Williams served as a missionary with the International Mission Board’s Xtreme Team in the jungles of Peru for two years. It was there, lying under a mosquito net in a hut in the middle of the Amazon Jungle, that Williams began to write his first novel, Jungle Sunrise.

Living with a previously unreached indigenous tribe, the Amarakaeri, Williams experienced first-hand the beauty and danger of native life as he had the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, hunt with bows and arrows, fish with spears, navigate the rivers, and encounter every aspect of the tribe’s culture. This breathtaking scene of the Amazon serves as the backdrop for Jungle Sunrise.

Williams, 30, writes and lives in North Texas with his beautiful wife, Jessica, where he pastors Body Life church and serves as the Campus Pastor for Trinity Christian Academy as he pursues a Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is now June and our indecent and some would say illegitimate and illegal President, Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Sotero, has declared it proudly to be Presidential Proclamation–Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.

This is not unusual with a wicked President, and our culture is in a dire mess because of those who are practicing and advocating evil in our culture. Advocating something that is deviant in nature, and abhorrent to clear thinking people, is just evil. President Obama is an evil man. There is nothing good in Obama, and all one has to do is listen to the vile lies that come out of him. He not only advocates evil, but he wants the world to legitimize sin. He also advocates and supports the murder of preborn innocent life. And he really should be thrown out of the Presidents office on his heine and replaced with someone who is a citizen, someone who supports and upholds the Constitution of the United States of America and someone with moral fiber.

And don’t even get me started on how this evildoer has spit in the face of Israel. Just listen to the show today and you’ll hear my thoughts on that as well. Bottom line, America is under God’s judgment. The fact that we have Obama as our President is evidence of that and I’m calling on the church to repent and turn back to God. I’m calling on men who call themselves Pastors to repent and turn back to God. Our time is short and unless the righteous rule and unless the righteous take a stand and repent before a HOLY God, we are dust. America is on her way to destruction. Sometimes a story like this just needs to be commented on. So here I go, giving you a few comments on this story because how can I not.

Here you have the CEO of the LIFELOCK company, you know that company that said that they will protect your privacy because they are so secure. Well, is it just me, or do you find it ironic that this CEO of a company that claims to protect your information, has been the victim of identity theft at least 13 times. ONLY 13… so really, are going to use their service now. Not me, no way.

But aside from that, the CEO was insane enough to post his Social Security number. So is it REALLY shocking that his identity was stolen. Nope.

But you have to give it to him for believing in his product. However, I’d have to say they need to improve the product.

Today I had a wonderful conversation with Gil Weinreich about his new book, which he coauthored with Eyal Rav-Noy, called WHO REALLY WROTE THE BIBLE?.

Gil and Eyal write about the Torah which is the first five books of the bible, and they do a great job sharing about how the liberals have tried to convince the world that Moses isn’t the only author of the Torah. It was a cool talk with a Jewish man, who knows way more about the Old Testament than I do.

As you may know in our culture these days saying a prayer and referencing Jesus can be really controversial or intolerant by some. But what about saying this in a prayer, “Christian land governed by Christian principles” ?

Well, as you may guess, this is exactly what happened on May 21st. Cynthia Dunbar actually used those words in a prayer she said at a Texas State Board of Education Meeting, and immediately she was attacked by some in the media.

The problem is that Dunbar was quoting a left leaning Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren said this during a prayer breakfast in 1954! Read here for the full controversy.

Here is the full prayer that sparked the controversy.

Most gracious Heavenly Father, we come before you today and ask that you grant to us
The ability to not be anxious for the Future;
Wisdom and understanding for the Day;
and Hearts of gratitude for the Past.
As we look to our Past to guide us, let us reflect on the convictions of those who have gone before us.
“I believe no one can read the history of our country without realizing that the Good Book and the Spirit of the Saviour have from the beginning been our guiding geniuses…whether we look to the first Charter of Virginia…or to the Charter of New England…or to the Charter of Massachusetts Bay…or to the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut…the same objective is present: a Christian land governed by Christian principles.

Here we go again folks, except this time let me show you the tactic of the religious left…

The story in a nutshell is that professing “Christian” Eric Workman decides that he doesn’t want a prayer at graduation. So he decides to sue the school with the help of the ACLU. Naturally, since the ACLU generally opposes anything remotely Christian, the ACLU takes the case and Workman wins the case.

Workman, who is this years valedictorian is going to address his class and the controversy at graduation. However, and this is the part where we see the leftist tactics, “he is fearful” of what may happen as a result of the students who are angry, and the school has hired extra security. (Naturally, if they didn’t hire extra security it wouldn’t make Workman’s whining about the situation seem very valid…. and what a waste of taxpayer money to boot!)

So, let’s get this straight – Eric Workman, “a Christian” believes the Constitution would be violated if there was prayer at his graduation. This shows his complete ignorance and how far he has been brainwashed by the establishment that says there is a separation between church and state.

Workman, “a Christian”, also calls on the ACLU which is one of the most antiChrist organizations out there, to support freedom to NOT have a PRAYER at graduation, even though the overwhelming majority of the students wanted prayer.

Workman, who is “a Christian” also doesn’t care about religious liberty or freedom of religion because if he did, he wouldn’t have opposed the prayer in the first place.

Workman, then whines about “being scared” and acts like a “victim” even though he is the one who SUED the school and created the controversy.

Workman also has shown that he loves himself more than his neighbor, which is contrary to scripture.

And Workman has no regrets about how his behavior has reflected upon Christ, the person he says that He believes in when he bears the moniker “Christian”.

And how much do you want to bet that the “Christian” Eric Workman won’t bother thanking God or saying a prayer or apologize to the students he has offended. We’ll be watching.

One of my favorite women in government is Michele Bachmann because not only is she a fellow Christian, but she is someone who walks the talk and supports our troops. Case in point, Michele has been trying to get passage of support for chaplains in the military, to PRAY. And naturally, the opponents of free speech in prayer, from the Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, are thrilled and thanking God that Bachmann’s proposal didn’t make it.

Here’s what Michele tried to pass recently to support military chaplains:

“Protection of the religious freedom of military chaplains.”

If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, a chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the chaplain’s own conscience. See PDF

I know, she has a lot of nerve doesn’t she! Unfortunately, this wasn’t passed…YET. But with your prayers and support, maybe in the future this FREE SPEECH IN PRAYER may be passed.

Europe is now slightly ahead of America in the meltdown, but in a very short time it is possible for America to catch up or surpass Europe.

Some stories just seem really strange to be true, and this afternoon when I was telling my husband about this story, well, to say he didn’t believe it is an understatement. And maybe you won’t believe this either, but with all the news about RFID and the “mark of the beast” and chips being planted into people so that people can eat and buy food…well, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

A British scientist has implanted an RFID chip within himself that contains a computer virus; one which is reportedly able to infect RFID readers and even spread to RFID chips, according to a report from The H Security.

With the chip implanted in his finger, Dr. Mark Gasson has launched several tests to highlight the risks of the medical RFID implants. He was said to have managed to transfer the virus to other systems using this implant.

Proverbs 25:19 – Like a bad tooth or a lame foot is reliance on the unfaithful in times of trouble.

I read this proverb this morning and it made me laugh because if you’ve ever had a bad tooth or a broken foot, then you know how hard it can be to deal with life when you’re in pain. And this proverb says that the person who is basically in pain (or a pain) is like a person who relies on the unfaithful person in times of trouble.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer leaning on people I know who are reliable and faithful, and even more so, I rejoice because the Lord is always one hundred million percent faithful. That’s GREAT news isn’t it!

Yesterday I had the absolute blessing of talking to best selling author and conference speaker, Jan Silvious, about her upcoming book which will be released in January and all of her former books.

I have to say that I’ve been so blessed to interview so many people, and Jan is by far one of my favorites. Not only was she extremely warm and funny, but she also is a woman who is wise. Did you hear the story about the woman who saved up $600 to buy an Apple iPad? If not, basically the story is that she saved all of that money in order to buy an iPad with cash, and the Apple store refused to sell it to her citing that they don’t take cash as payment.

As a result, this lady went to the local news and told them all about it, and asked CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, to give her a break. After the news segment aired, Apple stepped up and gave her a free iPad and then changed their company policy…for now.

One of the reasons I say “for now” is that I believe wholeheartedly, that this little snafu with Apple is just the beginning of large corporations testing the market to see if they can get away without taking cash. We all know from a biblical perspective that there is going to come a time when there will be a one world currency and our American dollars are not going to be worth anything. In fact, if you look at current trends regarding money and finance, it’s easy to see this global government on the horizon. And so, as an Apple user myself, I’m thankful that for the moment, Apple caved to public pressure to reverse their “no cash” policy. But stay tuned, we might just be seeing the beginning of companies trying the same thing, after all there is no policy that requires companies to take cash.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

One of the reasons I love the Lord so much is because He has been near to me in my pain and hurt, and He has healed my broken heart and binded up my wounds. Sometimes those wounds and the brokenness is a result of my own sin, and sometimes it has been the result of others sin against me. Regardless of how the hurt has come, one thing I know for sure, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is the cure.

I have three bird nests on my house this Spring, one in the front, which is a new place for the birds to settle, and two on the back of my house on each side. So it’s been really fun to watch and see the birds nest and primp and wait for the babies to be born.

And then little miracle of miracles, the babies were born in the back a few days ago and as I peeked through my back screen window I saw four little heads and mouths open wide as the mama bird was feeding them. After they were fed they all got quiet and then a few hours later I heard the chirping again and then quiet.

The circle of life goes on.

Without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. – Hebrews 11:6

Today I really had it on my heart to discuss the question Are You Distracted by God? The reason I brought this up is because I know for me, I am distracted by, what seems like, ten million other things, other than Him. Being a Christian is not an easy thing, despite what some people who say being a Christian is an easy thing. And believe it or not, it’s becoming harder, even here in America, to be a serious follower of Jesus Christ. One reason I think that’s the case, is because we are distracted by technology, like Twitter, Facebook, blogs, everything on the Internet, books, television, and so on.

So, one of the things I talk about is Daniel and how he behaved in Daniel chapter one shows us a great example of interacting with the culture while standing our ground as followers of Christ.

I then tie all of this back in with the unfortunate choice President Obama has chosen as a Supreme Court nominee in Elena Kagan, who is rumored to be a closeted lesbian.

One of the most read blog entries on this page in recent days is the one about Will Owsley, who died recently as an apparent suicide. According to the online website, The Anniston Star, “Hundreds of friends, family as well as popular music stars such as Vince Gill and Amy Grant, attended Owsley’s funeral Tuesday at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston. ” The article goes on to say that it was indeed a suicide that took Owsley’s life, which is a tragedy.

Amy Grant performed at the funeral a song called “Threaten Me with Heaven,” as a tribute to her friend and fellow artist.

Vince Gill also sang the song “Go Rest High Upon That Mountain.”

Today I had on the show Mary Eberstadt, who authored the great book The Loser Letters, and I cannot recommend this book enough. I LOVE this book and if you have college students, or high school students or just people in your life who are confused by the atheistic arguments, then you need this book.

Mary not only writes this book with such wit and humor, but she answers the dumb arguments of the atheists who think they are so smart. God says that the atheist is a fool, and so really it’s not that hard to answer an atheist anyway, but Mary does a GREAT job with this book.

What Mean You, Homophobe?

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”- 2 Chronicles 7:14

A few days ago you may recall that I attended my very first writers conference, and so today I have decided that besides simply posting about the things on my show, I would also write things that you may find interesting. For example, over the weekend on Facebook page I asked a very innocent question – “How much would you pay me for my autograph?” – After all for some reason we think that a book is more valuable if the person who wrote the book, signs it for us. However, if you’re in the book reviewing business or you’ve received a ton of autographed books like I have, even the best pair of eyeglasses can’t help you read the messy signatures. So what is the point unless the signature is legible?

As you may guess, if you’re the brilliant type, my question was rhetorical. Since no one in their right mind would pay me for my signature. Well, unless it’s on a check, then they are pounding at the door because they want my money. However, if we were to take this little quirky analogy to the next step…a spiritual one…then what would be the purpose in giving a signature if it isn’t legible? When I think about the Lord, it’s amazing to me that He sent us the text of the scriptures, with his autograph of prophecy, so that we could see what the truth is – if we just believe. We don’t need prescription glasses, like the ones we could buy at GlassesUsa.com, but all we need is the Holy Spirit who God gives us so that we can see clearly.

And I believe wholeheartedly that if you are truly seeking the truth, you will find the truth. Just like a person who wears glasses needs them in order to see things clearly, we need the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we can see things clearly. I remember when I was ten years old and I was in the fifth grade. I sat in the back of Mr. V’s classroom and I could not see the board clearly. So I told someone and my eyes were examined and I ended up having to get glasses to wear. I wasn’t crazy about that, because none of my friends wore glasses, but over a period of about thirty years I wore glasses until I had Lasik eye surgery almost two years ago.

In fact, having had Lasik eye surgery, I can tell you that my life changed. I actually went through a slight identity crisis because I no longer hid behind my glasses. Not that I consciously did that in the first place, but life changed for me. One thing that changed was that I no longer have to shop for glasses online, or in the store either. I don’t have to worry about picking out frames, cleaning my glasses, or worrying about waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to see. And it’s the same spiritually when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Lord graciously lifts the blinders off of our eyes, and we can see clearly. We see that He really does love us. We see that our sins can be washed away if we believe. And we see that even though our signatures may be messy at times, the One who created us, has the brightest red signature we may ever see. The blood of Christ, pure, holy and sinless, shed so we can be free.

Having just interviewed Amy Grant a few days ago about her newest CD release, today the news of her long time guitarist, Will Owsley’s death, has come as a shock to those who knew him best.

Will Owsley was a singer, songwriter, engineer and guitarist known professionally as Owsley, died April 30 of an apparent suicide. (Only one report has confirmed it was suicide as of 5/1/10)

You have probably heard the saying that every journey begins with the first step. For me, today was that first step. The first step toward calling myself a writer and pursuing a life long dream of writing a book. And one may think, having blogged now for over five years, that at some point I would’ve already been calling myself a writer, but honestly, I haven’t been. Up until today, I’ve pursued helping authors and publishers with visibility for their products, books and services. Today, that changed for me, because now I have a vision to write and help within that art as well.

I would like to thank my friend Kathi Macias for directing me to the Orange County Christian Writers Conference and inviting me to join. As a result of her encouragement, today I had the most fun I’ve ever had at a conference. I met a lot of wonderful people, with passion for Christ Jesus and a passion for sharing the message that God has given them to write.

I also discovered that there are ways that I can still help writers who need a little nudge to get into the blogosphere and Facebook and Twitter. If you’ve visited this blog as a result of receiving my business card today, please know that you can contact me anytime and I will do my best to serve you in any way I am able. Just as my goal was over five years ago when I formed Active Christian Media, to give a platform to people who may never get that break, my heart is to help those who have a godly message, get it out to an audience that the Lord will build with you.

As I shared with numerous writers today, beginning to develop your blog and social media network, is really the beginning of your marketing plan. Publishers will want to see that you have an audience for what you write, and when you have an audience, you’re more apt to get the deal you’re striving for.

As for the actually conference today, I found the main keynotes informative and helpful, but I have to say that I had to laugh at the lack of organization for lunch and in some of the rooms with the technology. Getting lunch was funny because if you can picture a few tables parallel to the wall, with all the food on it, and then a mass of people in a line that looked like a snake on cocaine, well then, you might get the picture. It took me approximately thirty minutes to get through the line, and when I reached the table with salad, they had run out of plastic wear. So I was forced to eat a chocolate chip cookie, a bag of potato chips and this small turkey sandwich with wilted lettuce.

Now, the funny part about eating this sandwich was that another attended spotted the tomato I left on my plate and actually asked if she could eat my tomato. Naturally I said yes and I had to chuckle that even someone else was blessed by the spoils I had stood in line for.

I also attended a few different workshops, but to be honest, I really didn’t learn anything new. Which doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy the workshops…it just means that having blogged for over five years and having worked on the publicity side of writing and producing my own radio show, I’ve already been educated about how certain things work.

And as is the joy with most things I do, I absolutely LOVED meeting and mingling with the people. People really are great and when you put a bunch of wonderful people together, all of the benign and boring things that might be going on, just slip aside like an oyster that slithers down a thirsty throat. (I’m trying to sound like a writer…just in case you didn’t figure that out)

Anyway, all of that to say, that the journey to writing and identifying as a writer, has started today. I write, therefore I am a writer. What a novel concept huh (Pretty cool pun isn’t it?)

Now that I have survived my very first writers conference, I want you all to know, that I’m ready for my second. So if you know of a great one, please tell me and I may join you there.

Today, I just had to share with the world that I lost my hairbrush. Now to you, maybe that is no big deal, but to me, it can be a problem because I have BIG hair.

Well, as a result of this minor loss in my life, I had to share with you the The Hairbrush Song from Veggie Tales (see picture as Larry comes face to face with the Peach who inherited his hairbrush). So what does this have to do with creation? I’m glad you asked because in my show today, I discuss God’s creation and how magnificent He truly is.

For example, have you ever considered how many types of hair exist? We have hair on elephants, dogs, cats, us humans, and various other places. God knows the number of hairs on our heads. He created it all, and I find it amazing.

I also talk about the spring birds and the three nests that I am watching right now at my house. I love spring because of this very thing. I love it.

What Does it All Mean?

I believe I have studied under the best of the best teachers when it comes to what the Bible lays out for us in the last days. Many are dazed at the rapid decline of America. The passage of health care wasn’t about health care; rather, the socialization of America. America just came under the power of Saul Alinsky. But some of us, while grieved, look at the broader picture. So, this is how I see it.

Revelation, chapters 13 and 17, lays out a coming one-world political system, one-world leader, one-world religion, and a one-world financial system (cashless). We don’t know when this will all be implemented, but we do know the biggest factor holding up the one-world order has been America, the superpower like no other.

In the coming system, all nations will likely be “equal.” That is, there will be no superpower other than, perhaps, the European Union — a consortium of powerful European nations. Even some individual nations in Europe are crumbling as I write this so some of those nations will band together and become the end-time power. Economic chaos is likely to level the playing field of all the world’s players on this strange chessboard.

Economic chaos will also bring down China and Russia, although both seem to have major roles in the last days as they invade Israel, one in the Gog/Magog war and one in the Battle of Armageddon. Their empires and land mass are enormous. But the number one superpower has been America and now we see her imploding due to corrupt politics, greed, love of self, love of power, and the personification of the Bible verse that says, “The heart is more deceitful than all else and desperately wicked; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)

So the bottom line is that America has been the primary obstacle to the one-world system. We see the decline of the dollar which has been one of the major currencies for decades, yet it stands in the way of a one-world economic/financial system.

Barack Obama and others say we are not a Christian nation, but that is nonsense because the church in America, in spite of its weaknesses today, stands in the way of the coming one-world religion. On the other hand, we have the apostate church in the U.S. which will go along with a one-world religion. As this is being written, there is an assault on everything Christian in America. It is to strip us of our godly heritage and rid the U.S. of as much Christianity as possible.

This scenario is scripted in the Bible by the inference that as America didn’t exist in Bible times: America has to diminish and Europe must rise. The man who could best bring this about promised America and the world “hope and change” and the uninformed bought it hook, line, and sinker. But Barack Obama is just one player in this global chess game. Nonetheless, he gave the world an image that he was the new “world leader” during the 2008 campaign. This is what the world longs for: A “man with a plan.” There needs to be a one-world leader but it is not him.

Capitalism must go and must be replaced by a socialized world. You say this will take decades. Look at what has happened in just over a year! So not only are we threatened from without by radical Islam, we are threatened from without and within by a group of intelligent globalists who are convincing America and the nations of the world that the only way to lasting world peace is the establishment of global government. And all nations will have to be equal for this to work efficiently.

Globalists have no respect for the people who elected them; no respect for their office; no respect for the American Constitution; no respect for what it means to be entrusted by the people of any nation to serve in a high capacity. Their only maniacal goal is the consolidation of more money and power into the hands of the few in order to control and manipulate the entire world.

This coming system is not some prophetically speculative or futuristic fairy tale, but a real world reality outlined in the Bible. It is not some whacko conspiracy theory being advanced by the fringe society. It’s an orchestrated agenda which God had planned for before the foundations of the earth.

But America has not made it possible for the globalists to get their agenda through until now. We see that through the corrupt-to-the-core Obama administration, they are pressing forward to the prize — a one-world system with America subservient to the European Union. We just don’t know the timing, nor the timing of the return of our “blessed hope” Who remains our only hope.

Because so many feel a foolish one-world system is the answer for global unity, I feel the words of Isaiah 66:4 have been in play for several years: “I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear, but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”

God sent delusion and this is the result. He sent the delusion to fulfill His Word. It is strong delusion that is causing some Americans to stand behind globalists who will bring about a system outlined in the book of Revelation.

Where one gets in trouble with this kind of theology and opinion is when it leads to an “I give up” mentality. Good people stop fighting evil. Some just roll over. Some go into complete apathy and escapism. Remember the profound statement by Edmund Burke: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.” Just keep expectations realistic and Bible-focused.

Now, what is the good news? We can only change the world by changing the spirituality of a culture. In the meantime, we can contend for the faith, preach the gospel, and be salt and light to a frightened world. And since all of the above are scripted, the final act is as well. We can know with certainty that the King of kings is coming back very soon. Right now some are wailing and calling this “escapist theology.” Go ahead and wail.

I close with a statement by Randy Alcorn whose book we now carry (see order blank.) “In Wall Street terms, Christ is bearish when it comes to investing on earth. His financial forecast for the world is ultimately bleak. But He’s unreservedly bullish about investing in Heaven where every market indicator is eternally positive!”

What is happening is in the “all these things must come to pass” (Matthew 24:6) category. We cannot stop such events. We cannot alter the way it is outlined in the Bible. If you have the proper eschatology, all that is happening makes perfect sense. If you follow the Pied Pipers of Amillennialism, Preterism, Replacement Theology, Latter Rain, Kingdom Now, and more, you will be lost in the maze of bizarre current events.

The outrage towards Bart Stupak is growing today after his betrayal and deal with the devil on Sunday, March 21st. In case you have no clue what alleged “pro-lifer” Stupak did, he sold his soul to Obama and consented to vote yes to the overhaul of the healthcare system which will now require more federal funding of abortion.

Stupak is a modern day Benedict Arnold, traitor, Judas, back-stabber, deceiver, fink, snake and miscreant. To name just a few synonyms of the word traitor. It’s no wonder the pro-life movement is angry with him.

But the good news is that he’s finished and Lord willing all of the Democrats who sold out our healthcare in order to enact socialized healthcare in America are finished.

A few days ago I received a review copy of this DVD series and since I’ve only viewed the first DVD I can’t say what I think about the whole series, but I can tell you that the first episode was relatively neutral. In fact, I actually found it boring and didn’t even finish watching the first episode. Check out the You Tube video and decide for yourself.

A History of Christianity: The First Three Thousand Years is a six-part series co-produced by the BBC, the Open University, and Jerusalem Productions and presented by Diarmaid MacCulloch, one of the world’s leading historians and Professor of History of the Church and Fellow at St. Cross College, Oxford. As MacCulloch reveals the true history of Christianity, he explores the question, “What does it really mean to be a Christian?”

While most Christian histories start with St. Paul’s mission to Rome, MacCulloch asserts that the Christianity stayed much closer to its Middle-Eastern roots and that, in fact, the first Christians actually took the eastern road from Jerusalem, spreading their faith across Asia, even to parts of China.

“Today, Christianity is seen as a Western faith. Indeed, many in the Muslim world would see Western lifestyles as Christian lifestyles. The story of the first Christianity tells us the Christian faith is, in fact, hugely diverse with many identities.”

MacCulloch is one of the most widely traveled Christian historians, and A History of Christianity is the first retelling of the Christian story that is truly global in scope. Filmed in high definition, A History of Christianity takes viewers on a 2,000-year odyssey that reaches the farthest corners of the world, from Palestine in the first century to India in the third, from Damascus to China in the seventh century, and from San Francisco to Korea in the twentieth.

A scholar whose fascination with Christian history was cultivated at an early age, Diarmaid MacCulloch is the last in three generations of Anglican clergy. That personal connection enriches the storytelling, as he describes not only the main ideas and personalities of Christian history, its organization, and spirituality, but how it has changed our views on politics, sex, and human society.

“Religious belief can transform us for good or ill. It has brought human beings to acts of criminal folly as well as the highest achievements of goodness and creativity. I tell the story of both extremes,” MacCulloch says.

The twentieth century brought what many perceive to be the greatest threat to Christianity—skepticism and spiritual apathy. Still, MacCulloch contends that the future of Christianity is filled with possibilities.
