Update on Janet Mefferd’s Show & Salem Radio
A few days ago I wrote a piece about Janet Parshall’s show ending and Janet Mefferd being her replacement. And in that piece I made some snap judgements about the new Janet Mefferd Show saying that I “endured” the show and wasn’t impressed with it. Well, I need to apologize for that and also to Janet Mefferd for making a statement that was said carelessly, in haste and really without substantiation. I let my feelings about this whole JPA show being cancelled blind my judgment and so I wanted to clear that up and apologize publicly to Mrs. Mefferd.
There were also some rumors, as mentioned in a Washington Times article written about Parshall’s show being canceled, about Mrs. Mefferd possibly getting the show because of her husband who also works at Salem radio. In a private email to me Janet Mefferd clarified to me that those statements were not true and that the Washington Times had never even called her to comment on the story.
I say all of that so that people reading these stories and my previous comments will know the truth and not be sucked into the gossip. Please give Janet Mefferd’s show a listen, it’s a good show and I’m sure Salem thought out why they put her in Parshall’s time slot.
As for the Parshall Patriot membership I wrote about a few days ago, even though I never received a personal response from the three people I contacted about it, yesterday someone finally put up a notice on the main Parshall Patriot website saying that the memberships had been cancelled and that some of us may be getting refunds. Hopefully they will follow through on that.
Thank you for reading this and know that I try to be fair and biblical in my dealings, but sometimes my emotions blind my reason for a time. I hope this helped to clarify some things.
