The Gay Lobby Is Succeeding In Duping Christians Into Voting NO on Prop 8
One of the joys I have in being an observer of the culture war is that I get to observe the marketing tactics of both sides of the issues. Recently I have been following the marketing of the Prop 8 campaign on both sides, and I have to say that the Vote No on Prop. 8 campaign is totally clobbering the Vote Yes on Prop. 8 Campaign.
In the last few weeks I have had to explain to Christian friends of mine at church and in my workplace, that Proposition 8 has nothing to do with homosexuality. Proposition 8 is Proposition 22 all over again and simply says that marriage is between one man, and one woman. If Prop. 8 is passed the definition of marriage as one man and one woman will be added to the California state Constitution.
So what is the confusion, you may be wondering. Easy, the homosexual activists are great at confusing this issue and making it all about them supposedly losing their “rights” to marry. In reality, it has absolutely nothing to do with their rights to be married and everything with protecting the definition of marriage the way the Creator of marriage defined it.
However, the homosexual lobby is active and they know how to intimidate people and lie to people. See, here’s the deal. When Proposition 22 was passed by 61.4% of Californians we beat the gays at the definition of marriage in the law. Then a few years later, the judicial activist judges decided they were going to totally ignore the will of over 4 million voters and vote 4-3 in turning over that ruling. In actuality these rogue and evil judges turned over the will of the people and also picked out of thin air this “so called right” for homosexuals to marry.
Then comes Proposition 8, which had to get back on the ballot by having a million people in California sign petitions so it could be. And when Prop 8 passes, what it will do is overturn the evil rogue unconstitutional activist judges who flipped their middle finger at the will of the Californian people by finding this “right” for gays to “marry”.
So here’s the problem…Christians are confused by all of this because they don’t read enough about the issues, because they don’t care about the issues and because Pastors aren’t teaching them about the issues. If Prop 8 fails, I blame the church and especially her leaders, because marriage is a spiritual issue, as well as a legal and civic issue.
And if the polls are correct, Prop. 8 will fail and the gay activists will have a right that 4 judges decided they should have, even though over 4 million citizens of California voted against it.
Bottom line, if you call yourself a Christian, you should be voting YES on 8, because marriage is defined by God as being strictly between one man and one woman. And if you’re calling yourself a Christian and you do not agree with what God says, then you will answer to God for voting against His principles.
