I Found My Cat in a Coma

UPDATED Wednesday Sept. 3rd -

Some of you have contacted me wondering how Boswell is and the good news is that I can pick him up from the vet tonight near the vet’s closing time. I spoke to the vet assistants this morning and they said he was up and meowing and being lively :) This is good news, but I still need to find out what happened and hope that it doesn’t happen again. Thanks to those of you who have inquired to his status. It’s nice to know many cat lovers :)

UPDATED 6:15 PM - I called my vet to check in on Boswell and to get an update. The news is good. Boswell is now off from oxygen and in a cage hissing at the vet workers. He has also eaten some food, which is a good sign. And it is a good sign, especially the hissing, because that means he’s back to his normal grumpy old self :)

Picture 56 This morning I had quite a scare because I found my cat Boswell in a coma. I thought he was dead, but even though I thought he was dead, I saw a slight flicker of movement in his whisker. So I decided to take him to the vet to verify if he was dead or not because I wasn’t sure.

He was cold, limp and I couldn’t feel a heartbeat so I thought he was dead, but it turns out he wasn’t. I’m thankful for that because I love my cat and he’s been part of my family for 15 years.

So right now I’m waiting to see what happened. My vet told me that it could be some weird complication from diabetes. He took a blood and urine sample and Boswell is being kept overnight for observation.

And I am doing better now, my heart is starting to slow down. And it’s amazing how much we get attached and love our pets especially when we fear they are gone. I’ll tell you more as I learn more.

I’m so sorry! I hope he is better soon. Lord, please heal Stacys cat. Amen.
