When the Earth Moves Under Your Moving Car…
Watch the Fox News Live Feed of Continuing Coverage of the CA Earthquake.
I’ve already received numerous emails asking if I’m okay because I live here in Orange County, California very close to where the 5.8 earthquake hit about an hour ago.
My experience was interesting because I was a passenger in my husband’s car when the earthquake hit. My husband and I were on the freeway coming home from Long Beach and we thought that someone hit our vehicle. Except there was no impact…it was a pretty severe jolt, but not strong enough to flip the car.
A few seconds after our car shook, the guy in the lane next to us got out of his car and was checking to see if he had been hit. It was then we all realized we had just been driving while this earthquake hit.
The next thing you know our traffic was slowed down enough to hear a number of us yelling across the freeway - “Hey are you okay… that was an earthquake.” Thankfully, we are all okay.
Moments later I tried calling my friend I had just left from breakfast and our cell phones wouldn’t work. Other than that, at least where I am, we’re okay.
Thanks to everyone who inquired as to our safety. We appreciate it.
