Disc Golf
Okay, here’s a disclaimer, I love to try new sports, and my buddy Hal over at The Great Separation just told me about disc golf, so I had to tell you about it.
I just got home from a sporting goods store and unfortunately they didn’t have all the discs that one needs to begin with, but I did get a good deal on two of the three needed. Normally discs run about $10 a piece and I got mine for $7 – so it’s a beginning.
Anyway, here’s how disc golf works in a nutshell. You take your discs and you throw them into a wired type basket, just like on a golf course. Normally courses are in parks and most of the time they are free to go into and if they are not free it’s only a few dollars (literally) to go and play. Unlike golf which really is a rich man’s sport.
What I like about disc golf if that anybody any age can play it. It’s absolutely perfect for the whole family, because small children can throw a disc, as well as elderly people.
