Life is very busy and I haven’t had much time to blog. Never fear, blogging shall resume tomorrow on Satan’s High Holiday – Halloween.

Saturday Musings

I love being married, and I love my husband more today than the day I met him over 17 years ago. It’s pretty amazing how that love grows … and how quickly time goes. A few days ago my husband found a photo of us taken about 16 years ago and when we looked at it we both laughed because we were so young! At the time, being in my early 20’s was something I never considered very young, and yet today at 39, I see early 20’s as pretty young.

Well, today has been a relaxing and fun day with my husband. He went to his normal prayer meeting this morning and I spent the morning listening to my new audio bible. (See the previous post) After he got home we went to the gym together and met a nice guy who poured out his heart to us about his problems.

After that we drove down to the Salvation Army because Randall plans on dressing up as a clown for our churches Halloween alternative this week. He’ll be directing traffic…and well, let’s just say the outfit he bought will definitely make him look like a clown. Me…I’ll be serving inside the building and that’s all I’m saying about that!

Then we decided to get a late lunch/early dinner at one of our local Island’s restaurants and what was funny about that was that all the young employees constantly address you as “guys”. Whatever happened to Ma’am or Sir? “Have a seat guys….” Bla bla bla….I guess that’s just part of living in So Cal. Formality is rather thrown out the window.

Once I got over being referred to as a “guy” I ordered my lunch (grilled fajita tacos) and Randall and I spent an hour just kicking back and enjoying our food and each other. There’s nothing quite like eating with the one you love. Plus it’s totally funny because Randall hates onions, I love onions and I hate tomatoes and he loves them, so whenever we order anything with either of these things, we trade.

Now Randall is fixing our front door ( I know that’s exciting) and after I’m done with this, I will be folding laundry! The joy of being married. When your husband or wife is your best friend, it really can’t any better than that.

The Word of Promise

Earlier this week I heard an interview on the radio about this brand new Thomas Nelson product called The Official Word of Promise and I was so captivated by the interview that I just had to look more into this product.

Well, yesterday I downloaded the full product on my new IPOD and all I can tell you is that if you want a top-notch quality audio DRAMA bible – then this is the product you will want to get.

I absolutely LOVE this audio DRAMA bible because it’s not just some voice actor reading the bible to you. This is way more than that. This is audio DRAMA (and yes, I keep capitalizing DRAMA because it is) at its best.

This product has an awesome score that is playing along with the reading of the scriptures, as well as very cool sound effects. In fact, this is not like any other audio bible I’ve ever listened to, and I should tell you that in the past I’ve had a few but rarely listened because it was boring the way it was done.

Not so, with The Word of Promise. This version is awesome. I just downloaded the whole New Testament yesterday and already listened to a few hours of it and loved every moment.

OH…..and Thomas Nelson isn’t asking me to endorse this or even share it with you. This is my own endorsement and opinion, and I have to tell you that $30 is a steal for this product.

Please visit the official Word of Promise website to actually listen to some samples of this bible. If you love audio drama, you will LOVE this.

Here’s a short description from the website, ” The Word of Promise is a New Testament Audio Bible, dramatized by an all-star cast of actors, including Jim Caviezel as Jesus, with Marisa Tomei, Louis Gossett Jr., and many more. This audio Bible is produced with state of the art audio technology, including sound effects and an original musical score. This is a new experience in audio Bibles like none before. Take a listen today!”

And another very cool thing about this product is that they have a PAY IT FORWARD program which will give your church 10% of the proceeds when people purchase the product and designate your church as its recipient.

Stand With the Persecuted Church by Supporting the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

A few days ago I challenged you to blog about the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church that will be held this year on November 11th.

As a result, I have been contacted by a few people who are so committed to the persecuted church that they made a special banner that all of us can use. And I would like to thank Nanna’s Reflections for sharing this with me, and Sparrow’s Song for designing a beautiful banner so that we can remember and pray for the persecuted church and promote the International Day of Prayer.

There are two sizes of the banner you see below. All you have to do is click here and then you will see two banners and their html code that you just need to cut and paste into your blog.

Thank you again for all participating!

Dr. Kevin Hearts Me

Well, I can’t not respond to the latest attack on me from the Dr. Kevin Kaatz who is really proud that he speaks many, many….many OH so MANY languages.

This is hilarious.

A few days ago Kevin said he didn’t believe anything that I say, and yet for some reason (probably obsession) he loves reading my blog. (Kevin hearts Me) We all know that don’t we.

Anyway, as expected, he wrote a response to my CALL TO ATHEISTS. Yet, as usual, he never really answers the call I made. And really since he is saying he is not an ATHEIST then why does he even care….well….it probably has to do with how much he likes Joe.

Anyway you can go over and read what he wrote and please note discerning readers that he mentions no atheist organizations.

See Kevin doesn’t quite understand that secular organizations or other world religions aren’t atheists. And so of course it doesn’t count in my plea to atheists because my plea is to them, not all these other religions or organizations.

Aside from that though, Kevin has taken the time to write about “My party” – which he thinks is the “GOP”. Once again, Kevin doesn’t check his facts about me, because if he had, he would know that I am not a registered Republican. I left the Republican party because they do not represent most of my values.

I’m a registered American Independent.

Oh well, facts don’t matter to some people.
