Cancer Is Not Republican or Democratic

I haven’t been blogging much the last couple of days because I’ve been very busy with work and also concerned about a friend of mine who has cancer. And as most of you know Tony Snow and Elizabeth Edwards are also both struggling with their cancer issues. And so I would ask you to pray for them when you spend time in prayer.

Anyone who has ever known anyone personally who has ever had cancer and/or died from cancer, realizes that this is a very ugly disease. It not only affects the person with the cancer, but also their whole family.

Some people are fortunate to overcome their cancer and others die from it. Either way, it’s a real trial and it’s not a Republican or Democratic disease – it’s an equal opportunity offender.

However, what is truly amazing to me is that those people I know who have had cancer have really dealt with it in a good manner. I saw my mom at her happiest when she had it, and I saw this friend of mine who is getting weaker by the day really draw near to the Lord as a result.

And I think the reason why cancer can be a blessing, is because it makes a person think about what is most important in life. Maybe the rest of us could get a clue before we are hit with this deadly disease.

No Retreat, No Surrender

A few days ago I received an advanced copy of Tom Delay’s new book titled No Retreat, No Surrender. You can buy a copy at Tom’s website Tom Delay

Needless to say, I decided I wanted to read this book because I’ve heard a lot about Tom Delay being a Christian and also a lot of negative things about him in the media. And one thing I know about the media is that they LIE about Christians, so I had to read Tom’s own testimony for myself.

Well, to make a long story short – this is a MUST READ book. If you want to know the truth about Tom Delay, get the book. Seriously, go and get it. You will not be disappointed and you will be inspired.

Some Days You Just Have to Smile

This has been a great week at Active Christian Media. I have been so blessed to meet and interview so many passionate Christians and I can’t wait for you to hear all of the interviews.

But before I share those with you, let me just say that there is nothing like the joy of the Lord. When you are walking in obedience to Him and His word, life is great. God’s blessings overflow and He alone is worthy of our praise and respect. Take some time today to get your bible and open it up. It is literally filled with truth and His love for you.

Now on to our recent interviews. If you click this link it will take you to all of our recent podcasts.

We have posted 6 new podcasts in the last week and so there is something for everyone.

If you like Christian fiction then you will love the interviews with Donna Dawson and Gayle Roper.

If you like books that are devotional and helpful because they are based on life experiences and offer change, then you will love the interview with Jerry Newcombe and Susie Larson.

If you care about America and protecting it from moral decay then you will definitely want to listen to our podcasts with Rick Scarborough and also Susie Larson as she discusses human sex trafficking.

So go and take your cup of coffee or bottle of water and kick back and listen.
