Rosie O’Donnell Needs Our Prayers

I have been thinking a lot about Rosie O’Donnell lately, because she has been in the news so much. A few months back she compared Christians to terrorists, then she picked a fight with Donald Trump, and even yesterday she said that President Bush should be impeached.

A lot of conservative radio talkshow hosts are going after her, which is to be expected, but I really think we all need to step up and pray for Rosie. And I’m not saying that to sound spiritual or condescending in any way. She really needs our prayers, and she really needs to find Jesus.

I have taken to recording The View since she has been on so that I can see what it’s all about. Frankly, it’s really a sad show that doesn’t speak to me or most of my Christian women friends - however, this is the world we have been called to go out and tell about Jesus.

On the show Rosie has shared numerous things about herself that are concerning to me and tell me that she has some very serious issues. Yesterday she made a joke about being on antidepressants, which really isn’t funny when you think about it. She admitted that she’s depressed enough to be on them. She has also commented on having obsessive thoughts that are hard for her to control, and she made it very known how obsessed with Barbra Streisand she is. She really did go way over the top with that.

She often talks about her weight and how fat she is, as well as her eating problems. In fact, yesterday she talked about how her children are helping her to eat better - which is very sad when you think about it because she’s the parent.

She also has some mother love that needs to be filled from the loss of her mom at a young age, and I think her sexuality is evidence of that. She makes a point in almost every show to remind everyone that she’s a lesbian and that we all need to accept her.

The bottom line is that I really feel sorry for Rosie. She’s evidently not very happy and when you look at The View and you look at her countenance compared to Joy’s or Elizabeth’s, it is very evident that she is not happy.

Pray for her today would ya. She needs to find the unconditional lover of her soul and be set free from all that binds her.
