Brown University suspends Christian group

Leaders of a conservative Christian student fellowship suspended from using campus resources at Brown University wonder if they’ve been singled out for their beliefs and are pressing school officials to explain the punishment.

Brown University has not publicly explained why it suspended the Reformed University Fellowship, which is allied with the conservative Presbyterian Church in America, except to say the group failed to follow university guidelines, which include a ban on proselytizing.

Edward Park, a Brown graduate who now ministers to the fellowship, says the problems started when a previous fellowship minister forgot to file the required paperwork on time with the school chaplain’s office. In September, Park submitted the same paperwork but had it rejected

Did you know that gay advocacy groups have a buyers guide that they give their followers so that they will buy and support companies who give homosexuals special rights? It’s true, here’s the pdf file you can download and look at.

As an Active Christian I feel a special duty to make sure that the money the Lord gives me goes to companies that support my traditional values. And while I understand that there is no way we can boycott everything, we can pick and choose companies we will support with our finances.

Here are some of the “Red” companies the Human Rights Campaign cites in their Buyers Guide. Red means that they do not support the Human Rights Campaign’s “equality” rules. In other words, these are companies that are more favorable to traditional values.
