Tonight the Family Research Council held Liberty Sunday in Boston Massachusetts. I had the opportunity to watch it via Direct TV, my television provider. I watched the event live as it was happening at 4 PM ET and 7 PM PT.

If you want to know the truth about what took place, visit www.stacylharp.com and read my coverage.

There are numerous gay blogs and other organizations who would like to undermine this event and lie about what took place. This is exactly why I chose to blog about it as it was happening.

The Family Research Council is also offering a DVD of the program that you can purchase here.

NRB Responds to Release of Tempting Faith">NRB Responds to Release of Tempting Faith

The following information appeared in the Friday the 13th edition of Inside NRB an email that goes to NRB members.

“Tempting Faith” Tempts Faithful

A politically timed book to release October 16, less than one month before mid-term elections, Tempting Faith by David Kuo may tempt people of faith to not participate in the election process or to jump the Republican ship. Click here to read an MSNBC article about the book. Kuo, a former staffer in the White House Office for Faith-based Initiatives, has concluded that President Bush’s commitment to those issues did not measure up to his expectations. It what could be styled another "tell all" book by a dissatisfied former Executive Branch employee, Tempting Faith, not scheduled for release until October 16, was previewed on MSNBC last night. Kuo was interviewed by MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. Mr. Olbermann (Countdown with Keith Olbermann) is a long time critic of the Bush Administration, and has posted on the MSNBC website his critique of the President as being "unconnected to reality."

The timing, as well as the handling of the advanced publicity of Mr. Kuo’s book, has raised suspicions with NRB President/CEO Dr. Frank Wright and other NRB members.

Dr. Frank Wright, speaking on the release of the book Tempting Faith, notes:

“In my view, David Kuo’s book, Tempting Faith, should be greeted with a healthy dose of skepticism. Brought to market less than 30 days before a national election, with advance copies only provided to political partisans, the timing exudes a surplus of partisan zeal and a deficit of credibility.”

Chuck Colson, Founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, and Mark Early, President & CEO of Prison Fellowship, both of whom have exhaustive experience with the Bush White House, have considered Mr. Kuo’s conclusions and have found them wanting. In a comment to Inside NRB, they point out:

"While we haven’t read David Kuo’s book, we know its central thesis. We’ve worked with President Bush since his first faith-based meeting in the White House only days after his inauguration. He has done everything humanly possible to advance the faith-based agenda. We have had many discussions with the President and his staff on this subject and have never sensed the slightest attempt to do other than advance the full faith-based agenda. Aside from the faith-based agenda, the President has supported a culture of life, cut taxes for working families, appointed excellent judges, and defended traditional marriage, all in the midst of leading the world in a fight against global terror.

We are shocked and disappointed by what appears to be political timing to sell a book, and a very unfair characterization of the parties involved."

NBC Moves Ahead With Plans To Air Madonna Scene Mocking The Crucifixion of Christ">NBC Moves Ahead With Plans To Air Madonna Scene Mocking The Crucifixion of Christ

The following information is from The American Family Association.  If you agree that NBC should be held accountable and their advertisers I urge you to join me in letting them know exactly what you think.

"Crucifixes are sexy because there’s a naked man (Jesus) on them." - Madonna

Despite 740,811 emails asking the network to cancel Madonna’s mocking of the crucifixion of Christ in an up-coming November special, NBC still plans to air the crucifixion mockery scene.

NBC said they found nothing wrong with the scene mocking the crucifixion of Christ. Such was not the case when NBC refused to show Danish newspaper cartoons depicting Muhammad in a negative light. NBC’s message? Show respect for Muslims, but it is ok to bash Christians.

In the special, Madonna, wearing a fake crown of thorns, descends on a suspended mirrored, disco ball-type cross. Click here to see photos of Madonna’s crucifixion scene.

Madonna has mocked Christ for many years. In 1989 she released a video for the song "Like A Prayer." The video featured burning crosses, statues crying blood and Madonna–representing Jesus–freeing a saint from his sexual repression by seducing him.

Take Action

1. Click here to send your email to potential sponsors asking them not to sponsor Madonna’s program.

2. Call your local NBC affiliate and ask them not to run the Madonna special.

3. Print out the AFA Pass Along sheet and distribute at your Sunday School class and church. Ask your pastor to encourage members to send an email.

Opening Today: One Night With the King">Opening Today: One Night With the King

A few weeks ago when I went back to Washington D.C. to attend the Family Research Council event, I had the opportunity to see a preview showing of One Night with the King at the Motion Picture Association of America.

The movie was AWESOME and I want to highly encourage you to take your family to see the movie this weekend. The movie is based on the biblical story of Esther and it is true to the biblical account.

The cast is also superb. I was especially pleased with the leading lady who played Esther, Tiffany Dupont. She was excellent and really captures not only the faith of Esther, but also the beauty.

Peter O’Toole, John Noble , James Callis(who made me hate him), Luke Goss who plays Xerxes and Tommy Lister make up a stellar cast.

The acting is superb, the casting is excellent and the visual beauty of the film is outstanding. This is a must see wonderful family movie and for anyone who loves to see truth being shouted from the screen.
