If you’ve been a fan of Christian music for any length of time than undoubtedly you’ve heard the name Amy Grant. Recently I had the opportunity to interview Amy regarding her latest DVD/CD release Time Again…LIVE that is due out on September 26th but one thing we didn’t talk about was how she was recently honored by the Nashville Symphony with their new center stage that is now named after her.

According to SAWorship.com, “Nashville, Tenn. - Nashville Symphony President and CEO Alan Valentine surprised Amy Grant during “An Evening with Amy Grant” on Sunday, September 10 with an announcement that the stage of the new Schermerhorn Symphony Center was being named the Amy Grant Performance Platform, in recognition of her generosity to the symphony. She helped the symphony overcome bankruptcy in the 1980s and continues to be a longtime supporter.”
