This I can’t resist. Everyone in the world knows that when someone like Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell makes these kinds of statements – even though they are ministers of the gospel – the liberal media pounces all over them like a cat on tuna.
Well today, the New Orleans Mayor, Ray Nagin, who lost part of his mind during Katrina, I think has lost the rest of his mind today because now HE is saying that God is punishing America, and not only that but BLACK communities too!
What a great day to come out and blame black people Mayor! I’m not sure the Rev. King whom we are celebrating today would appreciate that. We must also note that Nagin had a “imaginary conversation” with the deceased Martin Luther King.
Now imagine for a moment that Pat Robertson or Hillary Clinton had an imaginary conversation with a dead person (oh wait…Eleanor Roosevelt…) Nevermind. The liberal media will hang this out in a day. But if it was Pat Robertson every station in America would run this ludicrious story for at least a week.
Blogger buddy La Shawn Barber feels the same way I do. She believes even the blogosphere will give Nagin a pass.
Nagin also said this…
“Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it’s destroyed and put stress on this country,” Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day.
“Surely he doesn’t approve of us being in Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also. We’re not taking care of ourselves.”
