Alan exposes the fact that Al Franken likes to smear Conservatives and make fun of the soldiers. I highly recommend Alan Skorski’s book Pants On Fire – I’ve been reading it the last few days and not only is it funny, but it’s documented. In fact, the only reason any of us really know who Franken is is ultimately because of O’Reilly. As you may remember Al Franken “exposed” O’Reilly’s “lie” about Inside Edition receiving a “Peabody Award”, when in reality it was actually the “Polk”.

Tonight on the O’Reilly Factor Bill discussed Al Franken and his song lyrics. Bill thinks that the following lyrics are just about exploitation of the Abu Ghraib troops.

Tonight Bill O’Reilly hosted Tammy Bruce regarding the recent outrageous comments LA Times columnist Joel Stein made about not supporting our troops.

I love her comments about Hollywood’s current obsession. Watch the video to see what she said.

One of the interesting things is that really the Internet and the blogosphere has been on top of this outrageous story. Especially since Hugh Hewitt interviewed Joel Stein last week.

O’ Reilly said this is the first time this story has been broadcast nationally.

As a mental health professional I care very deeply about how people deal with their disappointment and depression. It turns out that right now there are quite a few Democrats who are very depressed by the fact that they couldn’t muster up enough votes to filibuster Alito.

The blogosphere is a community of people who gather together in good times and bad times. Let’s see how the left copes with their feelings…

“Skinner writes on the Democratic Underground” -

Sucks to be us right now. It’s true, the vote didn’t go the way we wanted it to. But I think we have a lot to be proud of. I think it is fair to say that without the liberal blogosphere, there wouldn’t have even been a fight. So that’s something that you all did. You should be proud. At least now they know that we aren’t going to sit back and do nothing while our country goes down the toilet.

I know that we’re all pretty upset right now, and we’re all dealing with this in different ways. Some of us want to find support amongst our DU friends. Some of you want to vent. We have asked the mods to back off a bit, to give you all room to blow off steam a little. But we don’t have unlimited tolerance, so please.. Just don’t act like a dick.

And if you’re in a really bad mood, and if you feel like disrupting or pissing people off — please turn off your computer right now. We don’t want you to do something that you might regret in the morning. There is no shame in logging off of DU.

Hell, that’s what I’m going to do right now. As I said, I’m going to get a beer, and EarlG is gonna come with me. And we’re going to raise a glass to the kick-ass Democrats on DU, who still give a fuck about this country, and are still willing to fight for the things that matter.

You rock.

Personally, I’m glad that these guys express their feelings and are passionate about their beliefs. I don’t agree with them, but it’s still nice to see other Americans passionate about our country.

Alcohol isn’t the answer Mrs. Grumpy, and neither is getting drunk. Maybe some exercise is a better option.

This is Dr. Jared Bernstein – he’s a very nice liberal. Tonight he was on the O’Reilly Factor discussing the recent news about Exxon making a killing in the financial market.

I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Bernstein last year when I attended the CARR bootcamp that The Heritage Foundation hosted with The Media Bloggers Association.

Yesterday at church the worship team introduced a new song that I had never heard. It was written by Chris Tomlin who is one of the most prolific songwriters of our day. I absolutely LOVED the lyrics to this song because it describes the God of the bible in Christ Jesus.
