Mind & Media: The Year in Review

A special message from the President of Mind & Media.

The Year in Review - How Mind & Media Became…

This year has been one of the most exciting years of my life. Not only did I get to attend the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Anaheim, but out of that event Mind & Media was born.

In May I graduated with my Master’s Degree, and in the later part of the year I started to lose weight by working out with a personal trainer. (Yes this is important!)

In early March I launched my Mind & Media blog to the world and began doing online book publicity and reviews using the blogosphere as my catalyst. The idea caught on quickly and we were off and running!

Since March we have had over 110,000 visits to our blog and almost 30,000 unique visitors and over 1 million hits! What an exciting year this has been.

(And these numbers do not include the blogs we’ve placed items on…with those, we’re easily into the millions!)

We have worked with the following in our first year.

And there are more we are currently working on.

We have had the blessing of promoting almost 50 items in our first year – including, books, DVD’s, and music.

However, none of this would be possible without the great work of all the blogger-reviewers we have all over the world. Currently we have close to 200 reviewers on our reviewers email list, with about 60 active reviewers who do the bulk of the reviews. The majority of the reviewers are conservative Christians, who live in Middle America. We have a few reviewers who live in other countries including New Zealand, Finland, Europe and Canada.

I have had the privilege of speaking at the first God Blog Convention on the topic of How to Make Money Doing What You Love, and next year I have plans to do more speaking.

I am both excited and humbled by what the Lord has done with Mind & Media: Publicity with Faith. This has been a faith venture, it’s been exciting, a lot of work and extremely rewarding.

Thank you to ALL of you who have joined me this year! I love and appreciate all of you and pray the Lord’s best on you next year!

Merry Christmas!

Randal Is the New Apprentice

Did you see the season finale of The Apprentice last night? I did and it was a great episode up until Randal blew it with his total selfishness.

I was rooting for Randal the whole season - why? Because he is a good leader, charming and apparently pretty smart. But he was up against Rebecca who was a formidable opponent, and even though I didn’t initially like her as much, I was hoping that Trump would hire both of them - and he would’ve if Randal didn’t show his true colors and deny Rebecca the honor of winning too.

So I felt a little bit upset at the end because I couldn’t believe that such a nice guy would be such a poor winner. The competition was over, and Trump hired him first, so why the insecurity with Rebecca being hired too?

Augh…

Aslan Continues to Be On the Move

Have you heard that The Chronicles of Narnia has made $81,331,961 as of yesterday? Amazing isn’t it? I’m very pleased to see such a great movie make a lot of money, and I hope that people continue to go and see such a great movie.

I loved the movie, and can’t wait for the movie to come to DVD. Go and see it this weekend!

TypePad blog service suffers major outage

Did you know that I write on four or five blogs a day? It’s true, and I believe I must have the speediest fingers in the West. So this morning when I was trying to log into my Typepad account so I could update three of my sites I found that not only had my most recent blog posts been removed, but I couldn’t even log in to my account.

I’m sure the guys at Typepad are freaking out~!

Then I found that someone actually wrote on the blogging outage, so this means that blogs really do make news. Check this out - Typepad Blog Service Suffers Major Outage.
