I’ve been saving this last post about GodBlogCon for today because I wanted to mention two more women and two guys I got to meet this past weekend.
As you may remember we at Mind & Media got to do some promotion for the new homeschool magazine The Old Schoolhouse, and while I was there I got to meet the OSH’s very own PR Mama - Mel, and the lawyer for OSH, Susan Spann who writes at Eagles Wings.
We had dinner together on the first night and talked about the Lord, shared our testimonies and laughed together. I had a great time, especially since these two ladies challenged me in areas I’m not too familar with. PR Mama for example, is an expert in marketing…and I’m not! And Susan has a brain as big as my head, and during one of the workshops she was able to explain the reason why bloggers aren’t having major issues with libel…yet.
The two guys I met were Luke and Paul. Luke is Paul’s son and he was a darling - I’m sure he won’t appreciate that, and I’m sounding like an old lady…but hey, he was very cute, polite and well, darling. Paul is the publisher of The Old Schoolhouse magazine and he was very very cool. I especially liked it when he shared that they had set up a blog about homeschooling and he had no idea about blogging - that was in La Shawn’s workshop. I love the transparency and also the fact that homeschoolers are on the cutting edge with technology and educating the world’s next bloggers.
