GodBlogCon’s Women
Yesterday I had something come over me as I was sitting there in the audience listening to three of the top men God bloggers…I realized that there were no women in that panel and so I just had to say something. Seriously…I did have to say something
So I did, and guess what after I did people began to think about the reason why women do not seem to be as apparent as God Bloggers. When in reality there are a great number of God Blogging Women, most I would say are in the homeschooling community, but for some strange unknown reason to me, most did not attend this convention. So next year, I say there should be an all women panel! (I am woman, hear me roar…ah, I mean blog…)
La Shawn Barber, my hero,
, blogged about it yesterday and she snapped this picture of me that you must see. It’s actually pretty…ah..well, let’s say, not flattering
But that’s okay…it’s only in Google FOREVER for the whole world to see!
Then I also met some very cool and extremely intelligent women bloggers —– among them was Dr. Charmaine Yoest who writes at Reasoned Audacity a very well informed and awesome blog! We bonded over all things political and I really loved meeting her precious daughter. In fact, turns out that Charmaine attends JollyBloggers church…cool heh!
Then there was B Relevant and the woman who created B Relevant Christy-Lynn Wilson - she totally rocks! Christy-Lynn works for The Demoss Group in Georgia and is just as spunky, as well, Spunky. (insider homeschooler joke).
And then my neighbor Just A Woman, written by Lores Rizkalla who is a precious as can be. She also has a passion for the culture and politics and I can’t wait to read what she has to say every day.
Be sure to check out all of these great GodBlogWomen!
(And I’ll write more about other women later…)

Could God Blogs Bring Men Back Into the Church?
There was some discussion at the GodBlogCon about the lack of women on the panels (see here, here, and here). As a woman, this didn’t bother me. The men were up there because they’re successful, and there are more successful male bloggers…
new godblog friends
So I think the GodBlog convention was a success. It was really fun, and cool, partly because it’s just something so new. It was great to meet in person people you’ve had conversations with for months, and feel you’ve come to know. And a little funny…
