One of my favorite ministries has suffered damage from the recent hurricane in Florida.

This is from NRB…

Coral Ridge Ministries, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, suffered severe damage as Hurricane Wilma stormed through earlier this week. Coral Ridge Ministries Executive Vice President Tom Rogeberg told NRB today that thankfully he and Dr. D. James Kennedy, their families, and their entire staff and families are all safe and sound. However, along with many other Floridians, some have sustained damages to their homes. The Coral Ridge sanctuary has severe damage with 3/4 of the roof blown off. It will likely be unusable for some time and electricity may be off until November 22.

Rogeberg wanted to convey a message to NRB radio and television station members that may carry their broadcasts. First, it may be difficult to reach the ministry at this time. However, you can attempt to do so by calling (800) 229-WORD or by logging on to their website at www.coralridge.org.

Programs will continue to be delivered, however they may not be new. The ministry is also experiencing financial difficulty at this time because of the hurricane. Please convey to your viewers/listeners that the staff at Coral Ridge is all fine. However, if folks want to help the ministry financially they may give online at www.coralridge.org. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a personal note: Rogeberg says that it is difficult to get groceries and water at this time, but that many local residents had stocked up in advance. “Neighbors are helping neighbors,” said Rogeberg, “sharing bread and canned items or whatever the other may not have. That is something you haven’t seen in a while.”

Secrets suck and I am here to tell you that.  I was thinking the other day about how many little girls and boys have been told by those perpetrators who are molesting them that "this is our little secret" and don’t you dare tell anyone because then  you will be in big trouble.

In fact, as I thought about it, I was reminded of the prevalence of the use of pornography in luring children to those twisted adults who molest children.  Trust me, it’s too common and it’s an evil in our society that still remains a secret. Pedophiles use porn to molest.  Which is just another reason I’m here to inform you of a great podcast that you need to hear and you will want to hear.

Craig and Mike recently finished a film by Bill Day called Missionary Positions and the film is outstanding.  The film is a documentary about how Craig and Mike set up XXXChurch.com and their struggles with getting the important message out that porn sucks.

They have taken an unusual and courageous stand by actually going to porn conventions and actually talking to those trapped in this industry…and they have made friends along the way.

They have been persecuted by legalistic Christians and also have been made fun of relentlessly by the media.  However, God has blessed their ministry and I am excited about that!

Their podcast is OUTSTANDING, it is categorized under the "Explicit" label because of the subject matter, but if you’re an adult, YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST.
