Mrs. Harp Goes to Washington

Last night as I was preparing for my trip to DC I kept thinking of that old film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and I couldn’t help but smile. I loved that movie because it was about the little guy trying to make a difference in the world.

Well, I am totally excited about being able to spend some time under the teaching of one Mr. Mark Tapscott of the Heritage Foundation, because not only did I have the pleasure of meeting Mark earlier this year when he was here in Southern California, but Mark is also one of the many who does reviews for Mind & Media.

Mark will be leading a Boot Camp called Database 101/102 CARR - also known as, Computer Assisted Research & Reporting. Sounds fun doesn’t it? :)

I think it will be and because I love, and I do mean LOVE doing research, this will be extra fun for me.

Plus with any luck I will get to meet La Shawn Barber and a few other bloggers that I may know just from their blogs.

I will try to update this blog with some pictures and commentary about my time there over the next few days, and I’d like to hear your feedback as well.

In the meantime, all of you who have reviews to be doing - Do them ! :) The “bookworm nazi” is watching you :)

Now, I’m off to catch my flight…
